This is actually a suprise

Now of course I love the Hunter class and just want to have fun with it, and I expect the Arcstrider in Destiny 2 will be just as fun, but speaking of Destiny 2, this may shock alot of people, but I actually think all the classes look balanced. The striker and his Fists of Havoc looked op at first, but after much pvp observing I realized that the radius is much smaller and does less damage, making him a glass canon, his 1 hit shoulder charges he can do over and over has me a little worried but not that much. The Warlocks Dawnblade not only is visually spetacular, but so are the abilities. It is similiar to a sunbreaker titan who can hover, but I feel as though the player will be slow and can be taken out, as well as the projectiles being easy to avoid if youre fast enough. The Gunslinger im most excited about. Not only does the class now have a shadestep like ability that can benefit either your melee or grenade, but now you have 6 Golden Gun shots! Meaning if you happen to miss say your third shot, and we all have, you dont have to worry as you have 3 more bullets left. The only thing I dont really like is pvp. I miss the idea of 3v3, 6v6, etc. Also why 4 people? It's such a random number, I know it shouldn't bother me but it does lol

  • How does 4v4 bother you? What does having 2 more players do to improve the gameplay?... 4v4 seems like it will be less chaotic, and you'll die less from supers... While it's easier to create balanced maps around only 4 players. The only downside I can see here is if you have more than 3 friends that you play with at one time. Luckily for me I usually play with 3 people max on average....

  • You can only use the shadestep once ever 17 seconds. It reloads your gun. The Titan got a shield wall and the walrock can either heal the team or buff damage. I get this might be useful in PVP but for PVE, getting an instant reload every 17 seconds doesn't feel on par, or very useful to me.

    • I do not think the new classes look balanced. The titan can smash and bash and throw a frisbee far away. The warlock can shoot while hovering above and has the height advantage. The hunter however, has the same concept of being bound to the floor and maneuvering very similar like the blade dancer but with some flips and turns. I would like to see the new hunter sub class have an advantage ability as well, whether it be a hovering one or something else. The hunter supers imo are not as strong as the other characters and i would've liked to see something more innovative not just eye candy.

      • 4v4 is what Bungie has traditionally gone with. You just either have not played Halo, or are very forgetful. I like the return to form. I rarely played 6v6 because I hated how many people there were.

      • I think we should wait to play the game before we make sweeping and controversial statements like "all the classes are balanced". My concern, as a hunter main, is that hunters will be the new "useless" class when it comes to raid encounters, similar to warlocks right now. Assuming tethers are no more, hunters can't add an edge to boss encounters any more. And with these new class abilities, where warlocks can buff teammates and titans can generate a shield (warlocks+titans= pseudo weapons/blessings of light), hunters will just be shade stepping on the corner as a gunslinger.

      • Don't worry. If the hit registration on Fist of Havoc Shoulder Charge is anything like Suncharge hit registration, you have absolutely nothing to worry about. Seriously, I tried using it earlier today. There was a target that was about two feet above and directly in front of me AND IT STILL -blam!-ING MISSED!?! I'm a Hunter main but god damn does something need to be done about that.

            • A few things to note, the goldengun only gets 6shots from a perk in the skill try an it lowers your time in goldengun extremely low. The shade step will only add to your melee if you are right next to the enemy .. And the free reload is nice but cool down is trash compared to the old shade step

              • Also, using a matching elemental energy/power weapon on a super of the same element takes it down quicker. Using solar on solar supers will take them down faster, etc.

                • lol. Dawnblade is going to be nerfed into the ground as it looks like a win button. The classes look balanced, but you'll also notice that these are way less skills in the subclass tree. Its dumbed down pulp to me. The game is less choice forcing players into distinct playstyles Warlock will be healer / support Titan will be tank and hunter will be DPS The 4v4 looks to be a shallow attempt at reducing the lag, but the only thing it will do is narrow the skills gap between players, bringing back every game as a sweaty. We all know everyone loved that. Also the 4v4 mean that if 1 side has an mlg player, it will be a win button. Also teams only play. Random teams will be shredded as its slower play and more focused on tactical plays. Also the focus of the game is still on PvP so any nerfs will still be in direct relation to PvP crybabies and twitch streamers say so. Basically crewing over PvE players. Same game, same nerfs, same focus only now with even more microtransactions

                  • If you watched any sweats or tournaments on twitch you'd know that 4 isn't a random number at all. It has more pace than 3v3 but isn't chaotic as 6v6.

                    • Why did bungie add mcree into destiny. Gunslinger has a roll that reloads weapons, a revolver that can instantly kill 6 people. All it needs now is a flashbang grenade.
