Overwatch - Do you "need healing"?

I ask for healing at 199/200 health

I'm not guilty

Don't play/"What's an 'Overwatch' xD"

Did you ever do it? There's all those memes about it but I'm interested in knowing if any of you actually ask for healing when it's really quite not needed.
Personally I did do it sometimes as a joke, but then I just type in "jk" afterwards. 99% of the time I don't even ask for healing, I know my supports see my health and they'll get to me as soon as they can, so I won't rush them to it.
I played mercy in a game of comp because I was filling. Had a guy say "This mercy is horrible." I didn't heal his missing 20 health because I was trying to keep our rein from dying due to all the enemies not being killed. I jumped off the map and switched to mei.

  • This overused meme makes no one want to press the I need healing button anymore. It's actually pretty useful for healers, they can see your location and hear if you need healing.

When I play a healer, I stay near the objective point. You stay near the objective, I'll heal you, if you need it You go running off to camp the enemies spawn point, your on your own.

  • I spam it constantly and stick right by our healer. Because my Genji being topped off always is much more important than our tank not getting killed.

    • I play support most of the time so I don't do this. The only time I accidentally don't heal people is when they're behind me and I can see them

I only ever ask for healing if the healer(s) is/are focusing on somebody who does not need the healing. Basically any pocket healers. Other than that, I do not do so. I play a lot of support, and supports can see health bars and if friendlies are critical health. I do not enjoy when people spam "I need healing" and then "thanks" when they die. Most of the time, I am healing the entire time as 1 healer when this happens, or dead because these teammates do not protect the support. They rush and expect pocket healing, or are missing a little amount of health and ask for it even though others are at critical health. The majority of the time I only put " I need healing" is if I am a healer and somebody else is spamming "I need healing"

    • My friend got mad at me for yelling at him for being a shitty healer. But get this: If I'm at full health and I'm Winston chasing Genji, I don't need healing. If three other people are all crying out that they need healing and they don't get anything and then die subsequently, then you're a shit healer. Plain and simple

    • I'm a support main. I can see your health bar. It's my decision whether or not you need healing. I should heal my 50 hp Rein before my 199 hp Genji. And if you say "I need healing" more than once at a time, I'm not healing you.
The luckiest seven you will ever meet
• Once was carrying the team as reaper and I was at 2 health and asked for healing, and witnessed the Ana on our team proceed to rush into the group of a road hog, d.va, along with every other member for the other team, and die

      • Dependent on the situation. If I'm McCree and I get to half health and my tanks are dead, you bet your ass I'm pressing X (keyboard shortcut for I Need Healing). But if I know I'm somewhat protected, or a higher priority target is getting it, I will go for a healthpack or politely ask in voice for a top off.

As a support main... Ah screw this you, know the answer If I'm playing soldier and someone needs healing, drop the heal thing for them Guess you would never expect that And if I'm playing a healer dependent (doesn't have self healing) sometimes I ask for healing, supports sometimes gets distracted/focused on something else, followed by a Hello and Thanks

      • I never ask for healing unless my friends are the healers. Then I'll spam "I need healing" for fun.

      • Sometimes. If I'm near a healer not doing anything, and there isn't immediate danger, I'll ask for them to top off my health.

      • I prefer playing heroes that can heal themselves specifically so I don't have to rely too much on a healer. Especially on payload escort maps since the payload has a passive healing aura. Roadhog, Mei, and filthy Soldier 76 can be hard to pry from a payload if you know how to dance around it as well as manage your healing abilities.
