Do you think Bungie should include some type of flamethrower?

Yes they should!

Flamethrower Exotic in Destiny 2! I don't post on these forums and don't know how to use them, I ended up posting this in two other places before realizing it should go here. If moderators delete my duplicates delete my other ones as this is the final one! Bump so Bungie knows how badly we want one! I think the community would love to see a flamethrower exotic weapon! I don't care if my ideas are implemented directly, I just want some form of a flamethrower. Here are some neat aspects that could be implemented: The flames deal damage over time (DoT) to enemies even after you stop shooting. Flames also leave a brief trail of fire in its wake on the ground, which deals DoT ONLY when enemies are standing in it. This is good for area of denial. Continually aiming at the same spot will allow you to deal more damage then if you moved the reticle around. This is because the damage from the flames stack with the damage from the trail of fire. The flames are massive and remain in the air for a brief moment even after you stop holding down the trigger, which allows you to spread the flames over a larger area if you want. This can also be used to help advance to an area by sprinting while the flames are still in the air. These flames are good at obstructing the view of your opponents and make it difficult to pinpoint exactly where they need to shoot to hit you. Moving the weapon around increases the flames ability to obstruct view, but deals less damage then focusing on a single spot. The weapon should be around the range of a fusion rifle to prevent the DoT nightmare Thorn caused. DoT is very powerful in PvP. It would obviously be in the heavy slot. Final note, people hate DoT and for good reason, but this weapon would not be a primary and has less range than Thorn, so I think it would be fair as shotguns, fusion rifles, grenade launchers all kill instantly while this one does not.

That would be really interesting if the made the flamethrower from the new Cabal enemy
Incendior
available for guardians as an exotic power weapon

  • They should include some kind of refund for the first disappointment.

I can't see how this weapon could be fairly balanced without being either underpowered or overpowered. Consider the flow of Destiny's combat. When people run up to your face, they are usually going to try to kill you in one hit. Otherwise, people are going to stay at mid-long ranges so they can pick you off with higher-range weapons and abilities. A flamethrower just doesn't comfortably fit into this equation. A weapon with bad range has to kill people extremely fast if it's going to be viable. A flamethrower in Destiny would be a PvE weapon that you pull out for fun, but trying to balance it to be viable in PvP is a fool's game, imo.
