Vault of glass: Sleeper Simulant for Atheon. Gjallarhorn or Sleeper for Templar. Wrath of the machine: Dark Drinker for Aksis. Kings field: Black spindle for warpriest, golgorath, and sisters. If you had ToM, go with that on sisters. For any raid, a good scout with explosive rounds. For wrath, you'll want the burning eye (trials scout) with accurized ballistics and explosive rounds or a high impact scout with explosive rounds to one shot shanks. Sniper: Since you'll be running sleeper or Gjallarhorn in many raids, you'll want a good high impact legendary sniper. Best perks would be triple tap and casket mag. A fast reloading perk is good as well. For classes/armor: Titan, Defender. Warlock, Sunsinger. Hunter, Nighstalker. Build all classes to be maximum intellect/discipline. Provided you have the weapons that I listed, you should be good to go for just about any raid. It's going to come down to what your party leader wants you to have before he'll let you join the group, but most of them should be happy if you have everything above. Of course, you don't need any of it, it just makes the fights easier which is what most groups want.

First and foremost, bring a high impact sniper. You'll be surprised how often they are necessary (Knights at Totems, Golgoroth, Atheon, etc.). Bring a scout with area damage, meaning explosive rounds and/or firefly. There will be lots of instances with adds rushing you and being able to take out multiple per shot at range is a huge bonus. You'll want to have both a reliable machine gun and rocket launcher. You should have the Gjallarhorn by now, so just find a machine gun you're comfortable with for specific encounters. I wouldn't worry too much about finding Icebreaker. It was a must-have back in year 1, but now it's outclassed by other snipers that don't take up your exotic slot (or the Spindle). Definitely go get the Sleeper. It's pretty damned useful, especially on Warpriest, Atheon, Templar, Vosik... Yeah, lots of encounters are better with Sleeper. Beyond that, I would have an exotic sword ready to go too. Dark Drinker is the favorite these days, but Raze Lighter is always a good choice too.

Between Gjallarhorn and Black Spindle you're good to go. Dark-drinker, Raze-lighter and Sleeper Simulant is preferable over Gjallarhorn on some encounters but Gjallarhorn will do the job just fine. Black Spindle is mostly usefull in King's Fall. Just make sure you have good legendary guns for all slots (I generally prefer scout rifle for primary, for special you generally want a high impact sniper and for heavy I usually use a machine gun if I don't use that for my exotic slot). And make sure you stock up on heavy ammo synths. If you're serious about raiding you should never run out of them. Always bring 40-50+ with you when entering any raid.

        • I'm sure it's been said to death already, but the key to any loadout in a raid is to know what job you're doing. For example, on Vosik, are you killing captains or doing boss DPS? However, some things that are almost always constant are well-rolled snipers (triple tap, casket mag, spray and play, any combination of these perks) and a Sleeper Simulant. Personally I also like Firefly primaries to help with add control, but that mostly comes down to preference. Certain weapons have niche situations in which they're the absolute best, like Bolt-Caster in the the Abyss in Crota's End, or Super Good Advice on oracles (assuming you have no VoG weapons). A lot of raiding is just finding those niche guns for your situation.

          • For every raid: Scout with firefly or explosive rounds High impact sniper Gally or Sleeper I would highly recommend picking up some armor that has increased sniper or rocket launcher ammo. After that you're golden, good luck.

            • Vog : Lord high fixer with braced frame Any sidearm but better if you have final round on it Heavy - Any rocket launcher with grenades and horseshoes Crota : Anything, it's up to you because the raid is easy but for crota I recommend a machine gun King's Fall: I would recommend any Scout rifle that has danger close on it, or no land beyond if you have one Occulums razor or a fusion rifle A sword is probably the best for oryx because you can go and sword the ogres as they spawn WOTM : Any primary, up to you but personally I recommend the universal remote Again a fusion rifle would be good, maybe go for the new monarchy one it's good for vosik damage Then probably best to use any machine gun, super good advice would be number 1 here for aksis Subclasses I would use for all raids - bladedancer for hunter, striker for titan and voidwalker for warlock Hope that helps

                • Ok hear me out. You're gonna find yourself a Zhalo Supercell. Infuse it to exactly 387. Naturally you're gonna want to go higher than that. Don't. Just leave that bad boy nice and Unleveled too. Pair it with a nice blue shotgun and a rocket launcher with Danger Close and you're all set. But for real. Don't do any of that lol

Here are my Builds: Vault of Glass: Fatebringer Ex Machina (Found Verdict during oracles) Dark Drinker (Sleeper Simulant from Templar onward) Crota's End: Fatebringer (Zhalo Supercell in Thrall Maze) Ex Machina (Found Verdict at Ir Yut) Raze Lighter (G-horn at Crota) Kings Fall: Burning Eye Adept (Touch of Malice at Daughters) Ex Machina (Black Spindle for Warpreist and Golgeroth) Quillim's Terminus (Raze Lighter if runner, Sleeper if not) Wrath of the Machine: Burning Eye Adept (Fatebringer at Seige Engine) Ex Machina Dark Drinker (Sleeper Simulant at Vosik if we have 3 Dark Drinkers already) P.S. I always use Memory of Radegast with swords, otherwise Memory of Perun or Jolder.

                  • sleeper is a must, dark drinker is very good too; in terms of legendaries, high impact snipers are good (ex machina, devil's dawn, event horizon, etc.), and a solid scout rifle is probably the best utility weapon (look for a solid roll on the wounded from fwc)

                      • Get dark drinker or raze lighter (either one will get you by in wrath or crota), take any high impact sniper, but scrap it once you get ex machina, because you'll never need anything else. Other than that, a well rolled scout rifle is always good, and sleeper sim is great in Vault of Glass.

                      • Coordinate things with your team. Even if one or three of them don't have microphones, as long as they can hear you and speak and understand English then you will be better off if you try to coordinate. Even if you have to wipe two or five times to get things to go right, then be patient and hopefully it'll pay off.

                      • The sniper rifle from wrath of the machine(ex machina) is really good, sleeper is pretty good, dark drinker and raze lighter are both very good in one part of a raid or another
