I don't grind at all. It's a social game. You visit. Catch up. Those of you who do not make quality friends are missing the majority of the experience
I'm lost, what's to catch up to when it all can be done in a couple week? You just said nothing has changed and that's the problem.

It's not about the game. It's about being social. Think of it like playing darts when you go to the bar with your friends. Thing you work on is getting better at the said activity. If we ever lfg people for a raid at least half of them are pretty terrible. That means a lot of players have a lot of work they can do on improving their skills. The overwhelming majority of players do not possess the ability to solo a Nightfall . any Nightfall. The overwhelming majority of people have never been Flawless in trials . lot of improvement to be had.

It's something that is common playing any game that has 2 or more gamers that interact. So don't know what you thought you were going with that. 2- Going on 3 years of the same content and you are still working on getting better at said activities? Not trying to be rude but you're not gaining any points here. After running over 300 gamers through the raids I had my share of helping gamers. There is only so many times one can do this with only 4 activities in this entire game without getting bored. 3- Since when is it a requirement to run a nightfall solo? It's not hard to do it just takes more time. Most don't want to run a solo nightfall so again don't know where you thought you were going with that as well. 4- The LFG is a joke in this game. Funny thing about it, gamers have been complaining about it since y1. I've never had to use it not one time and that's because I wasn't looking to be carried. Gamers in todays would are lazy and want things to be handed out and that's what this game became in y2 and y3. A hand out because most don't want to put the effort in having to spend that time. 4-Trails? It's not meant for everyone and gamers need to come to terms with the nonsense that it is. Your concept of a game can take place in any game, but it doesn't mean that the game is actually that good or is heading in the right direction. In fact, it's a lot futher and far worse off then how it was created in y1. The concept of this game is nowhere near where it should be. -
Edited by Racebum: 5/12/2017 12:23:59 AMre read what i said. you're kind of making up your bias and not considering my comment you're also a low grimoire player. i don't even think i'm going to check your raid completions because i'm fairly sure they aren't over 300. a lot of people can't solo nightfalls..like i said...if you don't have that ability there is a lot of pve practice needed. have you done all the raid challenges? lot of people haven't. what about trials? if you're just a negative and cynical person no game and no event will make you happy. the reason you aren't happy can be found in a mirror not a game
re read what i said. you're kind of making up your bias and not considering my comment
This is nothing personal. It's just how I see it. You look at this game in your personal preference. But your preference isn't how majority of Bungie's fanbase thinks. Actually 99.9% of gamers in this world and it doesn't matter what game they play don't think that way. So you might want to think about when companies creat a game what are they catering to, ( kids and teens. ) do you know why? Because they don't buy games for quantity or quality content. They are like bugs flying towards the light but not knowing it's a bug zapper. Todays games are half ass pumped out content that kids and teens will continue to buy because of hype. It's too easy nowadays for companies to present a game under false pretense. So explain to me again how most gamers buy games to be "social"? Every gaming company has it's tactics to keep gamers playing their game, just some dont make a complete game or add a far amont of content. That's because some companies don't have the resources, but some do and try to act like they don't because of their greed or lack of wanting to put that effect into making a game for the gamers and not just themselves. Long story short. You don't go from making a game that made history that set the path for other games over 25 years ago to acting like you don't know WTF you are doing. The truth is, Bungie knows exactly what they are doing, especially when it comes to keeping Gamers grinding over and over again for things they alread acquired and content they already paid for. -
Edited by Racebum: 5/12/2017 2:23:40 AMIf my opinion isn't how the majority of Gamers see it why exactly does the game sell so well? What other game on the PS4 that is three years old has this kind of following? And again you're kind of making it up as you go. I never said most Gamers buy games to be social. Like what is the deal with reading comprehension here? Look if you don't like the game don't buy the next one. The more toxic players that are driven off the better
If my opinion isn't how the majority of Gamers see it why exactly does the game sell so well? What other game on the PS4 that is three years old has this kind of following?
That's a good question, but easy to answer... ( advertisement .) streamers play a big part on why this game sells and why Bungie has made room for them on this app. Selling this game has never been the issue, it's keeping gamers interested and wanting to keep playing this game is the issue. Let me explain that part a little more, if Y2 and y3 gamers were y1 gamers. This game would of died in y1 because how Bungie presented this game under false pretense. In fact a good portion of y1 gamers don't play this game anymore. Activision at one point bragged about having 25 million registered gamers, but 25million gamers are not playing this game. Games thrive off of new blood not loyal gamers and free advertisement is how this game is surviving with the RNG illusion that there are rewards to be had. Without the RNG in this game knowing Bungie barely added any content, or incentive to run the repetitive content with everything that's been nerfed. This game would be dead by now, Because Bungie had literally nothing to offer this game but the same content this last 2 years but less of it. This last couple years If y2 and y3 gamers had experienced how y1 actually was created, most wouldn't be happy with this game right now and wouldn't be playing it. Y2 and y3 gamers outweigh y1 gamers and only know about y2 and on.
And again you're kind of making it up as you go. I never said most Gamers buy games to be social. Like what is the deal with reading comprehension here? Look if you don't like the game don't buy the next one. The more toxic players that are driven off the better
I'm not making it up as I go along lol. You seem to think your idea is how this game is surviving and that is a straight-out lie. Toxic isn't the word here. Truth is and most like you rather not look at it so you can say eveything is ok with this game. Well, gamers that don't lie to themselves tell it like it is and know this company isn't giving what they are capable of giving and rather push to see this game actually improve. Not stay silent and praise the company for their deliberate poor actions. And when things go wrong you call it a "mistake" -
Everyone wants the game to improve. There are just realistic limits to what can be done and corporate america and also with humans in general. If you want to harp on a terrible game go look at no man's sky. That was a terrible game. Call of Duty hasn't really done anything exciting in years. Final Fantasy 13 besides part 2 was pretty terrible. They go back to their Roots a little more with 15 and add in some new features and it's a pretty good success. We don't know what Destiny 2 is going to bring but I hope they do a final fantasy and not a Call of Duty. We will see game play next week

The point isn't if they can do more. It's what choices are there on the market? If you want to game at night there are only so many things you can choose from. If people are putting hours into Destiny it's because they choose that over the other options. If this game doesn't make you happy then choose something else. Or if you're someone who's just never happy I don't know what to tell you other than get counseling

Gamers choose to limmit themselves, so when you say what's on the market. That's yours and everyone else's problem that limmit themselves to one game and nothing more.
