I see no reason for them. And they should be replaced with someting else.

I received one with guerilla fighter, and firefly.

It's the emotional stability of the launcher. Higher stability means it's less likely to think of it's ex-girlfriend, which causes it to miss.
-
Duh, so the rocket can fire more softly :3
-
Hello shank burn
-
If you can't reposition your aim with a rocket after your shots there is no hope for you in this game. Yes stability on rockets is useless.
-
Counterbalance, perfect balance, rodeo 👌
-
Mostly helps with rapid shots.
-
It's always the best when you get matador, then get injection mold and hand laid...
-
To reduce the likelihood of getting useful perks.
-
Crucible player, eh? Well in PVE, most bosses----and even many majors at this point-----don't die from a single rocket. So the stability perks make it easier to rapidly fire the weapon. Since most of the time in PVE, you're either jumping up to get above obstacles.....or peaking out from cover...when you're firing one.
-
There is a reason more stability equals less kick back when fired means you can relocate the target after firing your first rocket quicker so all you if to do is wait for the fire rate to catch up so you can fire at the target again.
-
To make the more desired perks rare.
-
Today its a useless perk, but in the first week or two of the game it was needed. I remember getting the gally on day 2 and thought to myself "who in their right mind would want this piece of crap" it has no velocity, and when you fired it, you were looking at the sky from the kick. Rockets were just awful in the beginning. Except for the Truth. That was amazing! You could literally use it as a javelin rocket launcher from call of duty. Lock on a target and then point to the sky and fire. Rocket came down on target like a missle. And when it said aggressive tracking? They meant very aggressive tracking. IT WOULD FIND YOU!
-
I just thought of this, but it honestly wouldn't have shocked me 1 bit if Bungie, in response to the backlash from the Truth nerf, decided to buff Truth by maxing out its stability rather than its reload...
-
Would you prefer shank burn instead?
-
LMFAO! I agree. It's like stability on a shotgun. WHHHYYYYY?
-
My ideal rocket: Selection of: Confirmed Launch Smart Drift Control Countermass With the perks Vacuum or Last Resort with Perfect balanced, quickdraw, or snapshot and lastly Mulligan If I could get a rocket with this perk set I would be so happy.
-
Because bungo
-
I guess that's why Truth is so good. Shooting while jumping and shooting as soon as you land. I have perfect balance on my Warpath, omg it's so good. I usually go perfect balance for rocket launchers and counter balance for machine guns
-
I got one with third eye.
-
They have them because people like me use them across distance. Higher stability, mid air, means the rocket flies more true to the reticle over distance. Without them, you wouldn't be able to use them because of the recoil also.
-
To keep it stable duh
-
I have been asking this since virtually Day 1. They have no need for Stability, they always reset by the time you're ready for the next shot.

Edited by SwiftBMF: 5/12/2017 10:56:32 PMWhy "do" rocket launchers have stability perks
-
To make yo ask questions.
-
The same reason handcannons and shotguns have range reducing perks. The same reason Pulses and Autos and Scouts have stability reducing perks.
No, I don't know the reason.
