My dear Cosmo.
If the devs don't already know that people feel this way about Trials, then they are even less in touch with the community than I thought.
Carries, account recoveries and ELO farming are seriously deterring the average Joe guardian from even trying this mode. And all the nerfs that have led to a decline in the pvp quality and population were caused by Trials.
As it's said in here "Trials and it's side effects are ruining the game".
I am aware that Twitch streamers are keeping your game relevant every weekend by doing carries, but the only way some people can go flawless nowadays is by paying someone and watching a stream for hours, instead of playing the game with their friends. Do you really think this is ok?
And if you get off your mountain and look at how it feels for the regular player, then you realize you have completely failed with Trials.
Like the man said, Trials during HoW was the only one that was good.
Connections were crisp af, it took some skill but also some matchmaking luck to go 9-0 and a ton of people played.
Even if the meta of Thorn, TLW, final round and blink shooty was awful, I and many others enjoyed that so much more.
We can all agree how great of a Twitch community Destiny has, but the amount of "pay-to-win" carry scenarios have escalated seriously. And it should not be this way. I can't think of any other game where people pay this much for "help".
In my opinion this is very wrong and your devs should do something about it.
