Bungie won't do it. Way to much money in the line. I love trials. It's a great game mode.
Most of the money on the line isn't going to Bungie, it's going to paid carriers and recoveries.
Trials' current format leaves alot of playtime on the table. Too many people not playing it. They're watching it hoping for a carry instead of playing it.
Thus, it's a terrible game mode. Poorly executed and excludes too much of the playerbase. Yes, it's intended that "average players don't go to the lighthouse." It was also intended that those average players would play for bounties and 5/7 wins and thus be the fodder/fun for better players. Only one problem: doing so is not fun for Average Joe.

Precisely. Flawless raider. Not for your average joe. For above average. Like trials. Streamers keep the game popular. YouTubers too.
Precisely. Flawless raider. Not for your average joe. For above average. Like trials.
Yes and No. The key difference is that one is more of a novelty/once and done kinda thing and offers no bonuses/rewards for doing so.
Streamers keep the game popular. YouTubers too.
Again, Yes and No. Twitch/YT is like Amway, in that you're really only selling to those already invested in the game. There is little to no interest from those who don't play (for Destiny, at least).
