Removing Trials of Osiris would be an huge mistake. A very small portion of the playerbase returns every weekend to the game just so that they can play this endgame activity with their friends. We all know they are suckers and like looking at themselves in the mirror. That been said, there is no denial that should be removed from future destiny titles for the good of the game and community.
Fixed

Trials needs to go away because of the negative impact it has on PVE activities. Edit 3 in the OP hits the nail on the head.
-
I've been pve since release. Ive never even touched trials but yet I have to deal with the blowback and all the nerfs? Tht dsnt seem right. Trials is a cool idea, but negatively effecting how I get to play pve isn't right man
-
I think the concept of Trials is good and should be kept. However, along with Trials I think there should should be more variety of competitive playlists along with Trials such as 4v4 ,5v5, 6v6 forms of games such as control, CTF, something else that gives the competitve players more variety. Along with this should be a playlist where more social or casual players can also have fun but playlists seperating casual players and competitive players needs to be integrated.

It needs to go there's been to many times it's had a negative impact on weapon balancing and it brings out the worst in people, not to mention the matchmaking for it is absurd
-
Disagree... Op just shouldn't play trials
-
If it was my choice i would say remove it, however it's not... if it stay in i would like to see this: 1 separate pvp, trials and pve 2 add a ranking system, rank 0 is for players who never played it. Rank 1 for players who won 1 game and rank 9 is for the gamers who went to the lighthouse. After rank 9 you have a elite ranking (works the same, more times lighthouse higher eliterank) The best player of the fireteam wil be the one the ranking is based off. So they can still have paid carries, but they will only match with other rank 9 (elite) players. Every 3 weeks will drop everybody 1 rank. It will take at least a half year of not playing if they want to cheese and play against the n00bs rank

Edited by GrouperTrooper: 5/6/2017 4:40:04 PMI agree. It needs to go. It definitely has had a negative impact on the weapons for the rest of the game.
-
Separate PvP & PvE.
-
Do NOT remove trials. Just don't let it ruin the rest of the crucible with buffs and nerfs.
-
Lol they aren't getting rid of trials
-
People shouldn't be able to make a living helping other people play a game. Make trials a more inclusive PvP content
-
I agree with op and will take it one step further, remove all pvp so the nerf hearders go with it.
-
lol that would reduce the amount of bungies revenue significantly but ok
-
May be the only way pvp players like myself buy destiny 2 as i hate pvp and am sick to death of it affecting pve
-
they will separate the changes between pvp and pve relax
-
I dont trust bungie or their word about what they will do when they plainly reserve the right to change their mind on a whim. You have so many pvp games to play why dont you go play them and leave this game alone.
-
I agree with OP
-
Maybe all end game raids/pvp drop currency that allows people to buy from a end game shop. Yes still drop separate stuff in events. The currency would broaden the players arsenal.
-
Yeah we need more currencys. 😂😂😂 -blam!- outa here
-
Just make trials more accessible to everyone. No one should feel they should have to watch streamers/pay to get to the lighthouse. Excluding players from loot/grimoire was not a really good idea to begin with.
-
Only grim I dont have outside of stupid crucible kill bountys that I aint grinding.

Edited by d07monkey81: 5/6/2017 4:21:28 PMI hate trials. Even tho I'm fortunate to have been flawless a few times. The game mode in it's current state is full of streamer sub only/paid carries, account recoveries, elo farmers and ddos cheats. The casual player just cannot get a look in the lighthouse. Many trials players are elitist and defend the game mode stating only the best can make it but rather than go flawless once per week spend their entire weekend crushing would be flawless attempts. For people charging money to take people flawless the demand is high and they are able to profit from people's inability to get there on their own steam. The destiny community has largely been the most inclusive and helpful gaming community's I've been part of but trials is the cancer of this game.
-
^^ well said, totally agree. I like watching streamers helping people get to the lighthouse, but I refuse to watch the ones that only take subs, and charge extra for flawless runs.
-
There are plenty of streamers who do free carries and good for them. The only trouble is many of those are benefiting by enhancing their viewership numbers by offering carries. Usually viewers hang out in streams hoping to get Lighthouse runs via raffles (partnered streamers give increased luck in their raffles to subs making more of an incentive to pay money while you hang out there) and the aim of this on the part of the streamer is to get consistent figures that could one day lead to partnership and for those who are partnered already provide a revenue stream anyway from twitch ads. Not knocking Streamers tho I stream a little myself but I've got no aspirations of going for a partnership or going pro.
