The solution shouldn't be just remove it. It's incredibly fun to play and unique. Like many stated before, it isn't supposed to be a mode for everyone to enjoy. Same with raids. However, seeing how successful games like Rocket League are with a tiered ranking system, I think Trials could benefit in the same way. Maybe run 3 month long tournaments with a ranking system you move up in and in the end the top 100 teams get some coveted reward and compete in a real tournament. Afterwards it resets.
The main drive to play trials shouldn't be the loot. It should be the high level competition. I think that's why they addressed that with the bounties.

But trials is not about competition but loot. Too many account recoveries, double carries, and most importantly unstable connection. Not fun getting DC'ed on the 8th match

Oh, 100%. I was assuming that in D2, they have dedicated servers and a way to address all that. Main point, fix it, not remove it.

Idk dude, I wouldn't assume they'll have dedicated servers. If D2 is a clusterfck like D1, trials shouldn't be brought back.

Right there with you. Trials has been rough as of late. But, I remain hopeful they fix it. Time will tell.
