Well in the same way that somebody with a broken leg needs a crutch to help him walk. A casual needs the most powerful item available to help him get kills. So that item is labeled a crutch for casuals.
Simple, really.

Not sure why your singling out casuals. It can be anyone. I hate the negative connotations people put on others who don't play as much as others or take it as serious.
-
Well if they don't take it seriously then they are a casual, are they not? And if they don't play as much that doesn't change the fact that they are bad, does it?
-
Casual should not have a negative connotation. That's ignorant and elitist. A person could be a good player but just not have the time to put into the game. Such a ridiculously chilling and ignorant stance. It's people like you that ruin the experience for others.
-
Edited by Smough: 5/6/2017 11:29:27 PMSo calling somebody by what they are is ignorant and elitist? Ok, I get hat you're probably a casual. No need to take it personally. Playing the game casually? He's a casual. Not good at the game/bad? Either just bad or a casual.
-
Edited by X-LoganX: 5/6/2017 11:42:12 PMNo. Giving it a negative connotation is. Just an easy way to talk down to people for you. Good luck with that attitude
-
Edited by Smough: 5/6/2017 11:46:24 PMSure thing, casual. Maybe some day you'll get your head out of your ass and understand.
-
Np. Glad I could help with your ignorance today.
-
Only ignorant one here is you, sadly.
-
Sorry no. Thinking all casuals are bad is stupid.
-
That's kinda why they are casuals.
-
Great logic we can say that's using a modded controller is a clutch cause clearly we the people who don't use them are more skilled than the people who do.
-
Oh well that must be why you play a Warlock which is the biggest CRUTCH class in the game. Pot meet kettle.
-
Yeah warlock is pretty ez
Well in the same way that somebody with a broken leg needs a crutch to help him walk. A casual needs the most powerful item available to help him get kills. So that item is labeled a crutch for casuals. Simple, really.
Yup. When it takes skill out of the equation and wannabe MLG uses it to pad stats. ie y1 TLW, all stickies, and panic supers.
-
Lmao people like you kill me, you realize people used TLW to counter thorn and it only say popularity when scrubs realized you could ADS the bonus damage. Even still people who were bad with TLW didn't do well. Now barely anyone uses the last word because it's a shell of its former self (I still use it though 😏). Also many panic supers get whiffed, if you don't want to die by super don't be in the position to get killed by one. Some people don't treat supers as a montage moment, some people simply treat is as a free kill or a way to protect their team from being 7th columned by a roaming super. So don't get triggered if you get smashed or Nova'd out of your storm or blade. Finally stickies, I hate to inform you but if you've ever heard of the term "most viable" you'd know why most people use them. I'm sure as hell not gonna use an arcbolt or skip just to have them be outskated or shadestepped. Yes it's easy to throw a sticky at an idiot running straight at you but to stick someone effectively trying to evade it is not as simple. Tbh hitting someone with a skip, spike, lightning, fire bolt, axiom bolt or arc bolt are all easier, they just don't 1HKO. But there's no point explaining this to individuals such as your self, you're all omnipotent and someone know people skill level with everything in the game because you died against them 10 times in a match lmao
-
lol ok sounds like you're triggered. go play rumble and grind out the 100 wins and come back and tell me how balanced it is for everyone to run tlw and stickies. It simply isn't FUN. I had to sweat that out and it's so boring and repetitive.
-
I've done it more than enough times, the game is what it is, doesn't always go your way lol... wait a second... TRIGGERRRRREEDDDDDDDDDDDD...
-
i love this logic. So youre a bad player for using the best available weapons... what classifies a good player then? someone who only uses bad weapons and loses to the kids using the best weapons available, then come here to complain about them?
-
Edited by Smough: 5/5/2017 1:00:03 PMIt's more like this: If you're bad and need the best weapon to actually be good then those are a crutch, much like if you have a broken leg you need the crutch to help you walk. I guess a man without a broken leg can use a crutch too, but he can also walk without it.
-
Edited by iBramrock: 5/5/2017 4:52:12 PMIt does not work like that lmao. A weapon doesn't make you good. If you give a vegetable a gun it's still not shooting!
-
I beg to differ. Using certain weapons that are more powerful than others can definitely make you seem better than you actually are.
-
Then what about the other party, if they choose not to use that weapon and die then they're either a baby or an idiot, you have to adjust
-
Well if the other party needs to use that better weapon to kill the other people using it then they are using it as a crutch. A good player can usually get kills and be efficient with most weapons, regardless of how good they are. They know how the game works and how to play it. A bad player can usually only use the best of the best to even come close to the much more skilled players.
-
With your logic, everyone is a scrub/casual. Think about what you are saying. If you are bad, and use a good gun, it will make you better than you are. Enter good player, uses same gun, somehow this doesn't make them seem better than they are? Are you saying all good players are using the worse weapons in the game? Or are you saying that a good player with the same weapon doesn't have the same rules applied to them as a bad player?
-
I think you need to think about what I'm saying instead.
