Failing at completing the content is one thing, as you can try again and correct any problems. However if you find that you're consistently out of Heavy ammunition, and waiting for a super because you popped yours, that means that other people are not using heavy or supers.
You can make an easy correction here. One of the best ways to deal with non participation, is to get everyone on the same page by waiting for supers and heavy synths to be available. Remind everyone to take part in killing adds quickly and efficiently. If it does not change after an intermission, I promise you that it will never improve with the group you are playing with.

I assume you're talking about Templar? I feel like you're talking about Templar.

Explaining how to tell if a raid team is good 3 years after the game came out.
-
What's the relic is usually a bad start. You mean there is a challenge mode ?? Is usually bad also......
-
All raids usually fail because one guy or more either don't understand their job, can't do their job, or want to do it their way. I usually cringe when a guy in a raid says, "There is a quick way to do this". Yeah, I saw some guys kill the Templar in 15 seconds. The second part of that story is the had a plan, practice, communication, and a 15 Minute set-up time. No, they did not kill the Templar in 15 seconds; it was 15 minutes and 15 seconds. Sure it looks cool, but we could just block the teleport spots, kill ads (or don't kill ads depending on your method), dps the boss and be done in 5 to 10 minutes.

Edited by GeekinRob: 4/29/2017 6:28:45 PMHow to tell if a raid group isn't going to work... Needs to rely on supers and heavy ammo Synth's to complete the raid.
-
Super and heavy usage have nothing to do with if a team will work. In fact people using their super haphazardly can actually be a negative. Sorry I'm not gonna use gg or feather more often just because a Titan keeps using fop and I'm not gonna use heavy just because another guy is spamming dragon's breath.
-
PSA: Just try to figure it out with them. I've had players that got booted right away from other teams and turns out they just misunderstood a vey basic part because that team had shitty teachers. Give people a chance and figure out what the problem is before blindly booting.
-
IMHO it's too many people making mistakes If you swap people around and you still fail it's the team bail and find a new grouo
-
In my experience, if it's on lfg, it's not going to work. I'd rather never do a raid again than go lfg.
-
Potential red flags: Check light level. If more than one player is below 400, bail. It is ridiculously easy to hit max light now. Only new, lazy, or inexperienced players are below 400. Check weapons. Anyone equipped with a low impact sniper? Unlevelled primary? Legendary sword? Weird exotic choice? Bail. These players are trash and will more than likely be the sole cause of any wipes.

hah, man we had the heavy bug we used to use If anyone had their supers and heavies at the same time, it was everyone playing Crota lol
-
You are obviously not a veteran then. Try completing Crota, when you lose heavy rounds after every wipe. Those of us who had to endure the heavy synthesis bug from year one, laugh at these amatuers...

Destiny PVE is the easiest content I've ever seen. It really does confuse me when people can't complete it. I know that sounds snobby, but come on, it's so freaking casual.
-
hmmm I guess it has been a long while since I did a raid. I guess with the new supers added a easier way to take out mobs. I remember when all you needed for most raids was either titan bubble or warlock rez or the occasional titan smash

first

Not fully true. Supers are used at different times and depending on the super. Also those who do use it and depending on orbs dropped some may get their super back immediately but a few may not be around to collect orbs. Take crota and have a hunter tether and a hunter golden gun. Titan bubble and say a stormcaller. Tether used as the door drops to great orbs. Then all run out in main room titan bubble on balcony and bubble on rocks. Then say storm caller bottom to kill ads/knight. The tether may have the super built at this time but oops someone messed up and all wipe. Golden gun not used since wasn't Used. Just an example in the flaw of you team not working thought.

I only Raid with the same people I've been playing with for years so the Raid always works.
-
Put them through the totems relay in Kings Fall. It's apparent very quickly whether a team will work or not based on that encounter alone.
-
When that one kid comes in with an unupgraded choleric dragon with vacuum. It's not actually that person which is making me worry, it's the quality of the fire team leader that brings such people in which mostly gives me doubts.
-
When a squeaker will not shut up for a single second during orbit, or flight, or while waiting on the raid to start, etc. Not gonna work. He is never gonna shut up even when you need to discuss strategy.

Edited by Snake: 4/30/2017 12:48:07 AMsometimes i would say not enough communication or too much (either of these can stess players out and get them raging at the other players) it all depends on skill levels. having players join and leave within a short amount of time. the game creating lag spkes. other times it's can be due to the weapon and armor coices. players can wander off from assigned areas leaving other areas harder to defend ar attack. wrong perk or ability setups. lower levels that can't hadle the raid. some players just want to be carried through the raid without saying anything to the other raiders (these type of players generaally don't say much and are the worst for doing very little to help). supers used at the wrong time or place. there are new raiders who don't know the raid very well. even just having a bad day for some players. you name it and it an cause the entire raid to go wrong.
-
I don't think the feedback section is meant for communicating player strategy failures.
-
People rarely even use their supers during strikes. It's depressing to see my orb count compared to my teammates sometimes. I understand it's not fully necessary for everyone to use their supers at every given moment, but it sure makes things faster and more fun imo.
