Those fire retardants are necessary. You cannot underestimate the stupidity of college students nowadays. Especially when you inevitably throw alcohol in the mix. Had some dumbass in my dorm way back when I was in college who saw to it the whole floor smelled like acrid, chemical smoke because the dumbass forgot to put water in some microwave meal.
