*A Wild Gringo has appeared*
Now that the game of Destiny has seen its final content update, the game marks the finally addition to what ended as a great game scarred by irreversible flaws. I would highly recommend watching this review of the entirety of Destiny as it is not blinded by a grudge or nostalgia.

Edited by Optimus96: 4/28/2017 9:11:16 AMI'm really happy that he went into detail about Destiny being an MMO. In CoD, you just have to get to a specific level to unlock gear you want; in Destiny, however, you need to invest time into the grind and endgame to get what you want - much like an MMO. Console gamers are not use to this type of gameplay and is what I feel like was the ultimate turn off to alot of players.

Bias reviews. I only trust Kotaku and IGN

I made this post earlier this week. No one looked at it. Guess you got lucky

Amazing job ! I couldn't agree more with what you have said on every level about this game , simply amazing ! See you around the world of Destiny Guardian....RPG out 👍
-
This is insanely accurate. If D2 can build on where they have landed with most of the current state of Destiny, it could be amazing. I'm just really hoping my the game doesn't FEEL different ya know? I've seen sequels try to upgrade or update in that regard and the sequel just wasn't as fun. Here's hoping!
-
Nailed it. Well thought out and presented. Destiny may have been a 3 year long beta but it's been THEE most fun I've ever had playing a beta. Considering the growing pains and where we are now, D2 should be amazing.

Not wasting my time watching this. Destiny has been the BEST game I EVER played... regardless of flaws (which speaks volumes about the "flawless" games).
-
first off, a "fact" is when something is known. it is not a "FACT" that destiny has flaws like most of you are implying. that my friend is "OPINION". i don't have any complaints about destiny, it is a 10/10 for me. again, that is "MY OPINION". it doesn't make it a fact that destiny is a 10/10. All you butt hurt people who like to come to the forum everyday to say how "flawed" destiny is, what is the point? if bungie didn't listen for 3 years (PROBABLY BECAUSE THEIR REVENUE AND PLAYER NUMBERS SHOWED YOU BUTT HURT PEOPLE ARE THE MINORITY) what do you get by posting on a forum????? Thats like going on a tommy hilfiger blog saying "the jeans are too tight for my liking" for 3 years. guess what? they aint gone change because they have the money and interest to keep stuff the same. If you don't like something: DONT BUY IT! MOVE ON! There are literally THOUSANDS OF GAMES OUT.

Edited by Ismail_Yucel: 4/29/2017 1:04:32 PMWith all positives and negatives, after almost three years, we paid around 250$ for original game+3 dlc+2 free update. So what I understand is everbody wants Bungie to put all these stuff together and say " hey people, look, we have a content worth 250 $, but we will give all of it to you for just 60$, because we love you all, we like doing charity, we dont run a business and we dont have competitors, we dont have to profit"

Pre ordered D2, I know nothing in life is perfect. To many butt hurt kids that want perfection. To many high maintenance ass hats in this world.

I got my moneys worth out of Destiny and it's dlc. Too bad for the people who jumped ship on 1st impressions or after a nerf they didn't like. They'll never see the games universe for it's full effect.

I can't help but comment on the fact that the review just happened to be posted a few days before he announced that he's one of the sizeable group of famous youtubers that's been invited for the gameplay reveal event in Cali. So, yeah, the biased review doesn't look that good all of a sudden, even though I'm still in agreement with it.
-
Truth is this is less of a review and more of a documentary about the game. It was very well down. His points were fair even at those few cases where I disagreed. I would have liked to see some comment on trials and the arena play, but it looked like he was trying to keep the timing for a TV broadcast - right around that 42-43 minute mark. Nice job.

I wouldn't say it is a brilliant mess of a game. It has nearly limitless potential, but the company's stubbornness, poor management, lack of foresight, and lack of confidence in their own product may keep it from reaching that full potential. Y1 started out as a flawed, but addicting and fun game to play. Y2 took that foundation and threw out all the good with the bad. That, comebined with too much focus on PVP, and too much capitulation to the whiners who play this game have made the game go from a flawed but addicting and fun game to play to a flawed game that is tedious, frustrating, and borderline depressing to play. The premise of the game is to give us reasons to repeatedly play all of the repetitive content we have over and over. And instead, they have removed any incentive to repeatedly play anything other than strikes, and they have basically made endgame PVE content irrelevant. Poor loot drops, a poorly defined loot system that provides no sense of reward in the endgame phase, and again, overemphasis on balance for the sake of PVP have all combined to make the grind for endgame gear worthless. I believe in Bungie's ability to be able to reverse this trend and make this game fun to play again. The question, though, isn't whether they CAN do it. The question is whether they WILL do it. I'll tune in May 18th to see if anything they show can convince me that they actually WILL do things to make this game fun again. But that still doesn't mean that I won't wait to see how Destiny 2 unfolds post-launch.

I would say the majority of players are not focused on analyzing the game. Its just a game to pass the time. However, there appears to be a group of vocal analyst who have disected this game and expose the flaws "they" see. Destiny needs this type of feedback. Without it, the game would not evolve. Just because someone does not share your passion for perfection in a video game does not mean they are a "fanboy". They have a different perspective, thats all. Casuals look at this obsessive scrutiny as "not normal". If there is a term that describes the reverse of fanboy it would be used to describe the critics of the game ( the game they have most likely played for thousands of hours). Feedback is needed but labeling people is not.

....I shall watch your video in the morrow

Noice review.

Finally had time to watch the vid. Really enjoyed it. Hit the nail on the head. Awesome job

The Jackson Pollock of gaming
-
Bungie wrong many things in this game, from the story to the dlc and zero communication with players
-
Great video. It explains a lot of the mess except all the odd firings at Bungie. I hope Destiny 2 is better.

Edited by EMW ZEEK: 4/28/2017 4:12:47 PMMy summary of destiny is thats its a solid 7-8/10 ( based on other review scores) looter shooter thats doesnt have any particularly unique features to it. So if all you are looking for is a fun game to kill alot of time with destiny is for you. If you are someone looking for more, well look elsewhere cause destiny is very shallow. Some important parts to talk about: It has solid gameplay with a few quirks I really dislike such as not being able to animation cancel reloads and the sprint cooldown but thats personal preference. It has plenty of issues with gun strength and customization (seriously D2 needs to completely overhaul the entire perk system) I will give it props for putting raids into a shooter and while this has been done before as far as I know destiny has probably done the best job here. The art is great, nuff said. The in game economy is completely borked. Currency caps are a big no no and they have been putting bandaids on reputation gains since release. Story is nearly nonexistent but has improved with every DLC (although every dlc is only like 5 story missions long) And they still need to find a good balance for loot gains. Everybody having everything lowers the value of the items, but it causes other problems when only a few people have certain items. This can be somewhat fixed by having an extremely large amount of items (which destinys loot pool is small compared to other games) I believe most of what I said here to be a fairly objective look at what destiny is.

This is a brilliant review, if you have time watch it. Lets face it, it lasts as long as a decent Crota run so you probably could make the time. It summed up so many of my experiences of being a guardian, such as the quality of the in game community and why it exists the way it does. One thing is for sure, Destiny has always been a beautiful game, if possible, this review makes it even more beautiful.

This review is the same as anything else in this life that's subjective - - reality is what you want/choose it to be. End of file. The rest is just someone trying to sell their point....same as any other salesman on the planet. The OP is unhappy and the review is unhappy.....and it's presented on this total and complete bitch of a message board. So what. Doesn't mean a thing to those that are pleased with the game. I've already pre-ordered and I'll bet dollars to doughnuts Bungie doesn't have sales problems by the time next September rolls around. Disagree with me?......I couldn't care less I won't waste a minute on ya.

I like it.
