Star Wars And Indiana Jones Release Dates Revealed
• Along with Episode IX and the new Indiana Jones movie, a number of other release dates have also been unveiled by Disney. Disney has revealed release dates for the final movie of the current Star Wars trilogy and the next Indiana Jones. The yet untitled sequel to The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi will arrive in cinemas on 24 May 2019. It will be exactly 20 days after Star Wars day celebrations on 4 May - known in pop culture as "May the fourth", for resembling the quote "May the force". Star Wars: Episode IX will buck the trend of its recent predecessors which were both December releases, as was spin-off Rogue One. Few details are known of the movie itself, except that it will be directed by Jurassic World filmmaker Colin Trevorrow, who began as an indie director in the sci-fi rom-com Safety Not Guaranteed. The story will follow the rise of Force-filled scavenger Rey, after The Last Jedi explores her quest to find Luke Skywalker. Meanwhile, a Han Solo spin off is also in the works, starring Alden Ehrenreich as the famous "smuggler, scoundrel, hero", to be released next year. A number of other release dates have also been unveiled by Disney, including the fifth Indiana Jones film. Contrary to previous rumours, Harrison Ford will be reprising his iconic role as Indiana Jones in the still-untitled movie, set for release on 10 July 2020. And Steven Spielberg will direct. "It's rare to have such a perfect combination of director, producers, actor and role, and we couldn't be more excited to embark on this adventure with Harrison and Steven," Disney said in a statement. And, according to Spielberg, it won't be the final chapter on the series. "Harrison keeps himself in such brilliant physical shape that I think Harrison is going to be able do a lot of what the script is asking him to do," Spielberg said. "The one thing I will tell you is I'm not killing off Harrison at the end of it." A new live-action The Lion King, starring Donald Glover as Simba, is expected to debut on July 19 2019, with Billy Eichner and Seth Rogen rumoured for the voices of Timon and Pumba. The animated sequel to Frozen will also arrive on 27 November 2019.
http://news.sky.com/story/star-wars-and-indiana-jones-release-dates-revealed-10851490 Hmm...
