PopeBenedictStream for community focus!

I'd like to nominate a Raid/pve/pvp sherpa for community focus. He is a very underrated streamer and is the absolute best at what he does! He plays on both PS4 and XB1! His stream is twitch.tv/popebenedictstream. He is the most patient human being on the planet! He doesn't utilize "helpers" so he pulls in 5 people at once! He takes the time to TEACH the raid to every one he plays with so that when they win another raffle, they ARE the raid helpers. If you are looking for raid help, have any questions about Destiny, or are just looking for a cool place to chill on Twitch-- definitely check out PopeBenedictStream!!

  • The amount of patience the man shows is incredible and not many helpers take the time to teach people the raid

I cannot say enough about this magnificent guy! His stream is the first and only stream that I tune into on a daily basis! I've learned SO much about raiding thanks to this guy! He refuses to carry people, because he wants EVERYONE to LEARN the raid so that the next time they attempt it they can feel confident and prepared and eventually are able to help others! He shows tremendous patience with his fire teams, which are usually mainly comprised of people from his stream that are either new to the raid or do not have many completions. He has such a love for this game and this community that he is here everyday teaching raids, helping others get completions, running people through Nightfalls, having some PVP fun, etc. He is the epitome of what this community should be and every day he aides in reigniting MY love for this game with his unconditional love and dedication to all things Destiny.

  • Stumbled across Pope over 2 years ago helping viewers through Nightfalls (which were fairly challenging back in the old days). This soon developed into Raid help when the Dark Below dropped and then the amazing POE runs day in, day out. (We all remember the marathon Skolas !!) Taken King followed with hundreds of Oryx kills despite numerous team mates failing the dreaded jumps yet Pope was still there to help everyone get their weekly loot. Still streaming Destiny after nearly 2 1/2 years shows an extreme amount of dedication to the game, for which we are all eternally grateful for. Pope is legend..............

  • Unbelievable community Pope has created. Although I haven't been able to raid with him due to work/life schedule, I watch nearly everyday. Doesn't matter your life story or whatever, of you are respectful you are accepted by Pope and his community. This man needs to be recognized for all his efforts. Someday the stars will align, and I will be able to enter a raid. Till then, see you in chat

  • I joined popes stream a couple months ago and didn't have much raiding done, with the little I did have done I still didn't know how to do the raids because I had been pulled through them. Pope taught me the mechanics of the raids and now instead of just knowing one place I can help almost anywhere. Thanks to pope I now have the confidence to help my friends through the raids and can teach them the mechanics of the raids as well. I love the community that he has set up and will be a part of it for a long time to come, please bungie consider pope for the destiny community focus I believe he deserves it even though he may not think so. :)

  • I always wanted to run raids but didn't always have a group of friends to run with... LFG is always demanding and sometimes the groups don't mesh together... pope has help me with the raids I always wanted to run and helps me understand the flow... he is a great streamer... thank you pope

  • I've been playing destiny since house of wolves, but had barely done any raiding. I don't have a group of friends that raid and I wasn't confident in my ability and I don't like getting yelled at so I tend to avoid lfg. When the old raids came back I decided I wanted to try them and I found pope's stream. He's a great streamer and if you let him know you are inexperienced he's happy to help. I like that he doesn't just pull people through raids, he helps them and has them contribute. He has helped me understand the mechanics of the raids and made me want to help other people with the raids. He doesn't ask anything in return for his help, but he likes it when people become part of the community of his stream. Of the streamers I watch he has the best community with many people hanging out everyday. Pope also fosters a very positive chat, even during struggle raids, which I've been a part of. Pope is a great addition to the destiny community and I hope bungie will recognize him with the community focus. I've only been following him for a little while, but I see myself as being part of his community for a long time to come.

  • I visited this guy's stream one day last year and have been back almost every day since. He's a great streamer who (though he dislikes this label) is more of a raid 'sherpa' than most streamers who consider themselves such. He doesn't give up on people on his raid teams and genuinely cares about (and remembers) his viewers. He knows his community viewers and works hard to keep them coming back. He's a chill dude who focuses on having a 'positive' community. He doesn't tolerate people in the chat or on his raid teams bullying or being negative toward others. Bottom line... this streamer's channel is a great place to hang out, socialize, lurk and learn. I hope that Bungie can spotlight a humble guy with a small stream who promotes what's best about the Destiny community. By the way, the Hawksaw fire rate is a tad bit slow. Please dial the fire rate up a tick. Thanks much Bungie! #D2HYPE

      • I completely agree with this. Pope has been nothing but amazing to me when I came to his stream originally to be taken through my first raid and he's one of the only people I trust to take me into a raid along with the amazing community he has built up in his chat. He's an amazing guy and has so much patience to help with pretty much anything in a raid no matter how long it takes.

      • True indeed one thing about Pope stream is that he doesn't set guideline, you don't have to be a certain light, you don't have to have certain weapons that's all you have to do is want to come learn, and play the game. His camaraderie and a good attitude and vibe is always welcomed. Also he never leaves or kick people from the raids. 👍👍💪💯

      • I've had this game for a lil over a year now and i must say that the pope has been a huge help for me and others...he has so much patience when it comes to helping you understand and learn the mechanics of each raid. Now when getting into one of his raids....he'll be the first to tell you that this isn't a carry raid and that each member of the team has an objective and/or job to do. He makes the experience a fun and exciting one at that. You will leave each raid knowing that you had a part in helping out his community and along the way you will meet some great gamers on the other end of the headset ... I know cause i've got plenty of friends on my list from his stream! Don't be fooled by the term raid sherpa either cause popeski has helped me with so many other things like exotic quests, nightfalls, missions, and even pvp on an occasion or two ...if you ever get a chance and want to see one of destinys finest streams... stop on by kick back and enjoy ....you wont regret this ride one bit . -- "Off the Map"
