I'm so tired of toxicity in games. Just the other day, my friends and I were doing some 3v3 on Overwatch. It starts of normal. Y'know just seeing how the other team plays. We lose the first round and they teabag us from the get-go. So now we're ready to go ham. We proceed to destroy them 3-1 for the remaining rounds. When it was over we tea-bagged them because they were cocky at the beginning and tea-bagged us first.
Then I get a party invite from one of the guys on the other team. I'll do my best to recite our conversation:
Me: Can I help you?
Him: Um yeah you're fûcking trash
Me: That's why we beat you I guess
Him: You played Soldier slit your throat.
Me: You played Roadhog
Him: Fûcking kill yourself
Me: Alright then, have fun!
I reported him and we left it at that. I honestly can't deal with all the rage anymore. It's just a game, people.
Edit: We're trending!

I never message a person on an enemy team if they beat me unless they're being really cheap and cheesy (cough valk&peacekeeper cough) but if a teammate is throwing a match, whether it be picking recruit on purpose or picking hanzo for example, he will feel my wrath
-
Just something kids do when they get beat. Tell you your trash, I've never understood the logic in it lol.
-
6 RepliesAre you sure they weren't just screwing around and you took it too seriously?

Ruth, toxicity now is so barbaric. I like to use big words like Troglodyte and reprobate when I act toxic.

Gamers have never not been salty babies.

I was told by a Platinum player on R6 (Note that I'm in Bronze) that I was "an idiot at this game". It just amazes me that people are so rude over a video game. Plus, he died like 1 minutes and a half before I did, lol.

I'll admit, I do get pretty mad sometimes, but it's very temporary.

I was playing Dark Souls 3 the other day with some friends enjoying some "jolly cooperation " until it wasn't quite jolly anymore. We got invaded by a couple of guys and to be honest that's my least favorite part of the game. I ended up getting killed by a giant crab and shortly after I received some messages. Them: you guys had tears and giant tree seed going and still lost. Maybe if you were actually good at the game you would have won. You suck! Me: I'll try and not lose any sleep over it. Them: it's just a game get good at life not this. At this point I stopped messaging back. Why in the hell would you start messaging a stranger with that junk and then tell me it's just a game? Kids....

3 RepliesMy friend's friend and I have had an interesting history. It started over some stupid fight back a while ago that I can't even remember the reason for. Me and another one of my friend's friend were arguing but we were cool later. But the other one still hates me. Every now and then, I'll comment on my friend's social media post and his friend will comment on it trying to attack me with poor grammar. I usually screw around with him for a bit and piss him off before leaving the convo and whenever we're on Xbox, he always tries to get me banned or hacked but I usually befriend the hacker. It's a tiring cycle and he's a hyper-active asshole that never loses a grudge. If you make him mad once, he'll be an asshole to you forever.

Well you did use soldier<3

I'm just sick of always playing mercy/Lucio and the rest of the team comp is roadhouse widow/hanzo tracer and genji. In comp even when people have mics they refuse to go what the team needs.

4 RepliesHad one send me hate mail in SW: Battlefrontt (2015) (a teammate, specifically) on Heroes vs. Villians. Told me I was trash for not charging into the heroes (I was Director Krennic, was the only hero alive, everyone else was protecting me. They had Han and Chewy.)
The irony about this is that, next round, he played as Boba Fett and died within the first 30 seconds of the match. I proceeded to sarcastically reply to him, before laughing to myself.
Just pricks in general. Was playing Vikings the other day, helped some dude get all the extra objectives in the map for bonus loot after we kill the boss but he booted me just when we were about to go into the boss fight. It pissed me off way more than it should've and I haven't played it since.

Overwatch community has gotten so toxic so quick
-
This game, and Gears of War are my games with excessive toxic levels currently. I would add Halo 5, but I don't want to bother with that game anymore.
-
And that is why you don't accept invites from people you just beat.
-
A lot of people are totally useless (probably IRL too) and shouldn't be playing competitive games at all.
-
2 RepliesIsn't overwatch just supposed to be a fun game to play with friends? It's a cartoon for fuks sake
-
Exactly why I stopped playing online competively, at least for now anyway. At the moment I couldn't be happier. I've never accepted party invites from opponents when I did indulge but have exchanged messages between people. They ranged from things I don't even want to repeat here cause they're that bad. I too am sick of all the negativity that is associated with PvP. I find a majority, which is at least 51%, of people I've dealt with are absolute c-ocks. Between teabagging, team killing, not playing the objective, away from keyboard, hate messages, profanity, racism, death threats, r-ape threats, I'm just done. I don't have to worry about any of that in single player situations.
-
3 RepliesYeaup. This is why i don't pay PvP anymore. PvE is more enjoyable and less douche bags loafing around.
-
Always use Discord.

Hence, why I almost never use a mic. I don't need that shit in my life. If they don't like that I kicked their asses, they can deal with it.

4 RepliesI've been sick the last few days and am "enjoying" some time off. I found that the silence between my projectile vomits was getting a little awkward, so I decided to stream a game I never got around to buying. I picked Overwatch. Needless to say, 2 hours later I was on YouTube looking up "Overwatch Toxic Players"...honestly, y'all mother-blam!-ers need some help. As someone who only played the beta and free weekends, I'm glad I didn't pick this shit up. The amount of racist/sexist shit, legitimate death threats, etc over nothing is incredible. One guy decided to throw every game he was in because someone played as Junk Rat. When he got called out for it, he began to DDoS the IP addresses of his own teammates.

Its a way of life.
