How could anyone with half a brain seriously believe all living organisms came from the exact same ancestor?

Ah, because you know more about evolution than the entire scientific community as a whole. Okay. Added with the fact that humanity is a relatively new species on planet Earth. The only reason Reps. seem to not believe in certain scientific theories is because they can't see it with their own eyes. Which is funny and sad because they believe a Jewish zombie carpenter came back from the dead and is 3 beings in one. Evolution doesn't happen over a few years. It doesn't happen over one hundred. It doesn't happen over a thousand. Species have been evolving for hundreds of millions of years. That's an astronomically huge amount of time for humans. Think about it. We've only been around for a few thousand years. That's extremely minute in terms of Earth's history (4 billion years.) To think that life didn't change at all during that time is foolish. To think that we all just appeared out of nowhere is foolish. Evolution makes the most sense.
