Oxygen is needed to burn, correct?
I was always under the impression that Venus has no oxygen. Am I wrong?
edit: I blame space magic

Venus has a lot of Oxygen, but most of it is high up in its atmosphere. By volume however the atmosphere is about 96.5% Carbon Dioxide.

You're not wrong, however, in destiny's fictional sci-fi universe the traveller terraformed venus to allow it to support himan life. That's why there's lush vegetative growth and abandoned buildings from the golden age, instead of rock, sulfurx and so much smog you can't see ten feet. Literally! The CO2 on Venus is so thick and heavy, the surface of the planet often gets to hundreds of degrees centigrade.
-
Not only that, but the atmosphere is dense enough to crush you like a paper cup if stepped outside, assuming of course, you were able to even land on Venus, build a structure that didn't collapse in on itself from the immense pressure, and you ignored the fact that the sulfuric acid wasn't immediately dissolving your eyes and lungs with your first step outside..... Yeah, Venus really is a hellish nightmare.

I think the heat is probably your biggest problem. The Russians sent some drone there once and after landing it lasted about an hour before it just melted into inoperablility.

There are plenty of other flamable gases, get the right mixes and you still get the boom without the oxygen.
-
Well sense there's trees and other plant life we can assume the air is breathable.
