Crazy idea I know, but how awesome would it be to have two raids for Destiny 2's release.
The idea hit me when I was browsing the forums looking for a raid group and seeing how people were doing different raids at the same time. Because of bringing back all the raids at the same time, Age of Triumph has been the best event during Destiny's lifetime (and a great way of marketing D2 for the older players imo).
I like the way of releasing a raid a few weeks after the DLC (or the game) has come out. The two raids could come out at the same time or a week or few apart. After some time bring the hard modes and challenges, AND somewhere in between or after come out with the weekly featured raid playlist to incentivise one over the other lightly.
Of course there would most likely be a universal favorite but because of the nature of the players and the loot system both would most likely get played enough.
I know the biggest problem with this is the resources and development time it takes but I think this would be the factor that elevated Destiny 2 to the status of a worthy sequel to some of the more keen players of Destiny. (Also it would feel like a downgrade going from 4 raids to one with buying a new game.)
Just my thoughts, please give me yours

A biweekly rotation of raids would be best. Destiny's endgame has always been better when there were multiple raids at the current level.

Having 2 raids at release would be too much stimulant, imo. Would it be cool? Yeah, it would, but I think of how long it would take to make 1 raid (not that I would know, but I know how long it takes to make a 5 minute animated movie.) I'd rather have a quality raid than quantity. Kind of makes me think of the difference between VOG and Crota. They were both good raids, but Crota seemed rushed. I just think having 2 raids at once would be too much for the community.

This is more click bate than a Byf video

What's the point of that. Rather have frequent raid releases than 2 at once...

Honestly if Bungie is trying to pull in a whole new crowd (PC) of gamers, they will not only have to have 2+ raids near the start of release but continue to put raids or raid-like activities into the PvE side of the game on a VERY consistent basis. You definitely can't afford to have the content droughts that we experienced with Destiny to happen in Destiny 2. You will lose an entire community due to dry, stale content. I hope they keep this in mind.

They set the bar pretty high with 4 raids available at the same time. I'm afraid of a let down if there's not multiple raids available within the first month or so.
-
One at release would be fine. I think they should try to get one out every 6 months though.
-
They won't do that.

Hope there's none 😬

Edited by An Engram Full Of Bees: 4/17/2017 4:27:10 PMI'd rather have one raid at release, and a second raid about a month after release. It'd be a bit overwhelming to learn all the strategies and methods for two raids all at once. Not to mention, some people just wouldn't have time to get it all done in one week. If the second raid came out a month later, players could take their time and get a decent amount of gear from the first one before trying the second one.

Edited by KSI MySTiiQuE: 4/17/2017 4:06:19 PMBetter be more than two...

I wonder if they could make one in four or so months.

With how this game turned out. I think we will be lucky to have a complete game with dedicated servers when it releases.
-
I could care less if it's just one raid. I want an actual AI that can fight me and not just sit there while waiting to be a bullet sponge.
-
If they do I feel they should stagger the releases, maybe one in September and another in October? Just so that the community can focus and hype up on one raid without blowing all the content out at launch
-
Thinking about it, who knows if they actually have something like this in store for us?
-
Tbh I just want some sort of type-chat system thing on PC so you can use that to find groups or whatever
-
I want a raid that will last 10 hours. Hear me out. You start the raid, get as far as you can and save where ever you left off and continue again when you're ready. Wait... that's an rpg.

I want 2 raids in year 1 of destiny 2. One at launch and one with expansion 2. I don't want them to bring the first one to max light like all the raids are now but I hope they bring back the infusion system we have now so that although the raid won't be max light the gear from the raid can be. This way the gear stays relevant and new players have a reason to go through it. It keeps the raid relevant without giving us to many ways to hit the max level
