the United States entering the first world war, resulting in the victory of the Allies over the Central Powers.
Post hoc ergo propter hoc. Typical yank thinking they're better than they are.

Look at the facts for a second: the US built a large army, easily the size of any European army, and did it in under a year. Then, we proceeded to spearhead the single most successful operation of the war. Europe may have beat Germany eventually without us, especially since the German offensive had just been beaten back, but it would have taken years, simply because they were too depleted to carry out a large scale offensive without fresh troops. Germany would have likely been able to keep a large section of France, as a bargaining token, and wouldn't have been forced into surrender. Also, before WW1, Britain was looked to as the greatest world power. You didn't go to war without checking in with them first. After WW1, America was looked to as the largest power. You didn't go to war without checking in with us first.

No, it's not. Look at every fight since WW1. The US began to be a police force. Countries started watching who they were up against to avoid our allies.

People still attacked some of our allies, but the US was looked to as the big power, not England.

Not really.
