NIce video, thanks for the clear explanations.
Ran last night and three of us had to leave after a couple of hours (had work next day). I saw this morning that they got three randoms in and beat it....but spent another hour and about 35 runs.
The main points I get from your video that will help us would be:
--We were running sleeper- but your point about not needing to get him down to 10% if you're doing two runs is excellent. You can use snipers, SGA, and use 5 seconds to clear supplicants. For one thing, we had several instances of people dying from sleeper ricochets. And we also had a lot of deaths from supplicants.
--Practicing our blind jumps. 2/3 of our relic guys were bad about cleansing. Most of my deaths were due to being blind. Once I managed to make it to center with a completely blind jump. However, I blew it by popping weapons bubble in the front (as I popped it I was cleansed - if only I'd waited two seconds....).
--I (as a polite person) always let the other person shoot the first oracle after teleporting. But now I'm wondering if we should both shoot at it, check for our name, and then the person whose name didn't show goes after the 2nd oracle. It would save us some time (I think often the other person would hesitate as well).

Depends on what weapons and light level of players are being used? I was using atheon's epilogue without the extra ammo perk and didn't have to reload between the first 2 oracles. Or if I did the normal reload speed was enough to not make it matter. I see nothing wrong with teamshooting if you havnt received a kill credit yet. It also Imo helps lessen the confusion to newer players that get freaked out by the randomness what 3 players get teleported first.

Thanks for the comment. Okay, maybe I'll try that when (if) I get my Epilogue. It is true that one of our team was slowly plinking away at the oracles with what I believe was a pulse rifle....

oracle disruptor makes a big difference. That being said if you do have a weaker player weapon wise it's only gonna help if when he gets teleported to throw a couple bullets on his Oracle and to to let him get first kill credit. Might even be worth it to do a few practice runs to see how many shots you can shoot one without killing it? Best of luck to you!
-
Yeah I'll try that out next time I get in there. Thanks for the help!

If you both shoot at the first Oracle you are going to have to reload for the second. Could cause a wipe. We also came into a situation that the relic runner would accidentally knock out an oracle when slamming the Minotaur.

SGA doesn't reload ;)
-
Ah, good point, thanks. I guess I'll continue as I was- let the other take oracle one and sleeper oracle two.

Ye just team shot until u see ur name, get cleansed and move out. Use the super good advice to reduce the sleeper ricochet problem and damage with snipers. Use lmg for everything else and snipers for damage.

I just sherpad 4 players in less than 30 minutes after having them watch the video lol. It is very brief but covers all the need to know tactics
-
Would you maybe sherpa one more? :)

So I haven't run it yet but after reading ur post I'm curious. Does sleeper simulant not fire out of the times vengeance relic shield? Do u have to jump up to fire it like rockets, or else ull die?

Edited by FearsomeMonster: 4/5/2017 2:57:37 PMYes, as Hangdown said it was shooting at oracles (no problem with shooting at Atheon). At first it was happening to one of our team- more than once so he stopped using it. I wasn't having any problem, so I kept going. Then after a bunch of runs it happened to me- fired at an oracle and died from it- presumably a ricochet. But I kept using it. I thought maybe if I didn't line up straight, got closer and under, it wouldn't be an issue. It only happened to me that once. One issue with sleeper was inconsistency though- we all had the problem of it sometimes being a one-shot, but sometimes leaving a sliver you had to clean up with primary. We learned to really watch out to make sure your name pops up in the lower left- never assuming you got your oracle. There were too many instances of "did you get your oracle?" or "someone didn't get their oracle" and us all waiting for the wipe screen to see who had missed theirs or who had killed two (happened surprisingly often).

It fires through. He is probably talking about using it to shoot the oracles and getting killed by the ricochet from that.
