If Bungie does it right and learns from the mistakes from Destiny, then it will turn out great. Don't lose hope in Bungie, whom brought us Halo CE-Halo 3 and ODST, and Reach.

No hate but the current bungie team has nothing to do with the guys that worked on halo ce-3 or even odst.
-
Yeah that bungie team quit when the story they had for destiny, which sounded awesome by the way, was turned down and then the whole game was ripped apart and put together from the pieces and rushed out in a year. Then they took things that were supposed to be in the original game and cut them out for dlc because they didn't have time to actually make dlc.
-
Naw, I don't think it will hit the skids that quickly. There are to many people who love it, but it is bland. I think that this will just be another step in the dirrection of irrelevance. There are enough people who only care about shooting things in the face, and fan boys to fund this game for a while. Look at COD. They need to innovate or collaborate... shit's getting stale and needs to grow. Immagine Destiny with the speed and mobility of warframe. All fan boy shit asside immagine being able to rip around the maps like that in destiny. Micro transactions and DLC... just make it worth the money. There are lots of ways that can take shape, just don't make it such a blatant rip-off. Write a God damned story, and don't be afraid to let us feel powerful in the world. 4+ player fire teams, higher difficulty options for patrol. Find a way to ballance gear for PvP and PvE seporately. It's okay to have op weapons... so long as there is a variety of them. Meh... I got way off topic. I don't think it'll flop. I think it will fizzle. I think Bungie is having a midlife crisis. Let's see if they age gracefully or start using botox.
-
I love Destiny. But going of on the fact that No Mans Sky, Mass Effect Andromeda, the Division, Battlefront, Halo 5, And a much longer list more of games that were considered flops, it is unfortunately safe to assume that this one will be no different
-
Hopefully. A just penance for screwing everyone over in a multitude of ways with D1. People can blame activision all they want but parent company or not, you've gotta put your foot down.

Can't really say anything until May 18th....

Edited by Odin: 4/30/2017 10:47:09 PM
Can't really say anything until May 18th....
Yeah, and gamers said that with each expansion and each expansion was worse then the previous one. So it's safe to say one can expect the same when Destiny 2 is out.
-
So, you're saying Taken King was WORSE than House of Wolves?
-
So, you're saying Taken King was WORSE than House of Wolves?
Yeah, that's because the adjustments in this game and gamers complaning about everything. Most rewards have become mediocre and not worth the time on acquiring them. The other thing is knowing there was 2 expansions. ROI should of been added within 6 months after The taken king was released.
-
We can definitely agree on that last bit. RoI should've dropped at the very latest 6 months after TTK. But story-wise, TTK has been the best piece of content in the lifespan of Destiny.
-
Well it didn't help how the story was changed before Destiny was released. Hopefully when Destiny 2 is released there will be more of an in-game story. I'm not into reading grim cards.
-
Naw bungie has too much talent and resources to flop something like this
-
They all left
-
Is anybody still there that was there when Bungie was founded? And I'm talking about the Marathon days on the Mac, not the Microsoft/Halo days most people seem to think is all they ever did...
-
Yeah but I have my hopes up and I'll still play it lol
-
I have a bad feeling too

Destiny: a game the people love to hate but love to play for thousands of hours. No matter what may be "wrong" with the game at the time, people will always come back for new content. Why? Because destiny is a ton of fun to do new things with your group of friends. At least the devs never change the game in drastic ways that make the thousands of hours you've put in a complete waste of time.
for those of you that play Ark, that last comment is about that lol....rip my flyers :'-(
-
LMAOOOOOO destiny never changed the game in drastic ways that make thousands of hours of grinding useless? Did you play this game at all or just get your info from these forums?
-
It is supposed to be styled between the fps and mmo genres... so it should kinda be expected that weapons and gear should be left behind when new equipment comes along... I think the main problem was that there wasn't enough overall variety in viable armour and weaponry from the start. If we had perhaps, something like 10 different sets of armour and weapons that could bring you up to/ almost up to max lvl and then the raid gives you say, 2/3 variants of armour sets for each class. That would be a lot better I think. Also not having an armour/ light stat on class items, sure it might help things balance out but I mean come on, it kinda limits personal style even with the infusion system tbh... have perks and maybe even unique perks on them by all means but having to decide on which vanity item to use by way of which has the better stats rather than which you like better just sounds a bit silly to me...

Bungie is always finding new ways to take away the fun from pve, I'm not buying D2 unless pvp is separated from pve.
-
I have not seen them once drop any sorr of fun from PvE. Guns being dropped in damage by maybe 10 damage in PvE is nothing. Stop complaining
