Taken King "DLC" rant

BEFORE READING - I make this post as an attempt for constructive criticism and, as such, I am not targeting Bungie nor their moderators/administrators in any possible and negative way. As always, discretion is advised. --------------------------------------- Title is self-explanatory. Are you willing to pay $40 for more in-game content, whereas the remaining DLC here haven't fixed a 1/5 of what's missing in the game itself? I mean, I get it, probably there was no raid or much content lore-wise in the newest DLC (HoW)... but this is preposterous - they are putting a price for an almost-produced game. Gentlemen (and ladies, since there are women playing this game). My opinion as such is that Bungie charging us $40 for more in-game content seems "unfitting" from my perspective, since there's a general lack of content in the game that was previously advertised in conventions (citing the E3 trailer). Said cost is unappealing and, by the looks of it, I am not the only one that is against this "cost". I love Destiny, and I find appealing both the scenery and the lore. But since the "reordering" of the plot, Bungie left so many core components aside (open worlds, utility for sparrows and jumpships, planets from the solar system, derelict ships/stations, etc) and now they are giving us said key components for a price (which was my worst fear...compared to the other possibility that was game too big and CD memory too small). Aside the fact that 99% of the lore can only be read in the Bungie/Destiny homepage, absolutely NO plot/campaign whatsoever, and a lack of proper comprehension from the Bungie staff with our suggestions, I find the game less and less appealing (and, as far as I've seen, I'm not the only one sharing this same point of view), to a point in which I ask why am I still playing this. If you have any comment about the DLC itself (prices or content-wise), feel free to post comments below. Please do notice - all in good faith.

  • Why is it that every time that DLC is announced (or in this case leaked) that there dozens of threads started daily, complaining about the price. Wait until more information is released and then take the following easy steps: 1) Evaluate your finances. -Can you afford $40? 2) Evaluate what is available in the next DLC. -What Features are available? 3) Determine if there are enough features to justify you spending $40 for them. -If yes, then enjoy the game or If yes, Purchase DLC, and then complain about how little content there is in it. -If no, THEN DON'T BUY IT!
