- How To Be A Proper Fool (Clan Rules) -
WTF is an adult only/age 18+ PS4 clan.
Is WTF right for you, and are you right for WTF¿ Read on!
Requirements to be in WTF...be 18+ and don't be rude. Seriously, that's mainly it. But if I could target 4 things they would be
- Don't be rude
- ACTIVELY play Destiny 2 and actively help/be involved with other WTF members!
- Use the Discord App for communication with WTF members.
- Please have a usable microphone and at least know some English.
We have a TON of fun in the FooLs and laugh all the time! It's a welcoming environment of friends. But if your running a clan that you actually care about and want to succeed, there needs to be rules! Rules #1, #2, and #3 are crazy important. Rule #3 is the only real rule where you'll get kicked right away.
1.) Don't be rude / 3 strikes.
If you enjoy being rude to people there are countless clans out there who will welcome you. Examples of being rude: Talking over others, shouting/talking loud, having lots of background noise and not caring about it, talking about others behind their back, forming cliques, having an "elitist" mindset, ignoring people asking for help, not being able to listen to someone taking their personal time to teach you and help you.
We use a 3 strikes, and your out rule. 3 times of being overly rude and your out of the clan. Simple. This doesn't mean you curse or are tiny bit rude and that's a strike. No, it takes some effort by someone or a lack of caring for this to happen. Most members will never have to worry about this rule. But it's in place for a reason...
2.) Age Restrictions
WTF is an adult only clan. You must be at least 18 years of age to ride the WTF ride.
*In very RARE cases we may allow members to be under 18 but this is based on maturity level and we will need to play with a potential under 18 member multiple times to assess this.
3.) Discrimination
Over the top racism, prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against someone of a different race/sex/belief/religion/anything is grounds for immediate removal from WTF.
4.) Activity Level
If you are inactive in the clan for more then 1-2 months depending, then you can be removed from WTF. A lot of clans will do this after a week or two so this is very lenient. In order for a Destiny 2 clan to thrive it NEEDS active members.
- Please be able to actively help your friends and clan mates! I.E. Get online, volunteer for raids, Trials, Nightfalls, etc.
- Join our Discord and add to the friendly discussion, Help others as they will of course, help you in return!
- I stress this. If you join WTF JUST for the Clan engrams and never help out your fellow clan mates? That is self serving, selfish, and rude. This is grounds for WTF dismissal.
5. Skill level.
We DON'T CARE about skill level. If your a green newb that is fine! But we also won't have other players in WTF that are more skilled not wanting to play with other players who are less skilled. WTF can do activities with more 'Leet groups and activities with newer players who need to be coached/helped. If a member isn't quite ready to take on Trials or a raid due to power level, that might be the case. But refusing to help them to succeed is a rude, unhelpful way of thinking. But not letting a member join up on regular activities because they "aren't good enough" won't be tolerated. That gets into the old "you don't have a Ghally, your not welcome" argument. WTF is a clan that helps. If a players needs to get better, learn a raid, etc, than instead of being (rule #1) rude, help them learn the activity so they get better and can at least keep up with you on some levels!
6.) Back Stabbing
Don't back stab others in conversation or by way of in-game actions. We are honorable fools here. Meaning, people you could trust in real life. But you have to be able to joke with each other, and be able to TAKE jokes from others.
7.) Raids
Raids and other activities that require multiple peeps to play (good reason to be in a clan).
OMG RAIDS. One of the crux's of all clans, is also one that splits up tons of clans. We don't care if you never play a single raid, or your on everyone we ever do as a clan! If you want to run a raid and there are enough team members, GO for it. If there aren't, no whining. But we have enough members that that hardly ever happens anymore. Raids require communication, clear leadership, quiet mics/party chat during boss encounters, patience and friendly teamwork with guardians who've got your back. If we aren't in a boss encounter, laugh, be a fool, carry on, teabag, do whatever the heck you want! If you want to join a raid please do so knowing that the following rules are expected of you:
- WTF leadership (Rule 10) is in charge. Please respect them as they are awesome guys/gals.
- Teaching. When a leader is teaching, don't interrupt. When they are done, they will almost always ask if anyone else has anything to add or better ideas! We won't ignore someone and don't have an elitist mindset.
- Party chat/Mics. If we are in a boss encounter there needs to be clear/quiet mics. There should be "call outs," instruction from leaders, support, and that's it. If people can't hear or understand a call out it'll quickly result in frustration.
- Teamwork. If you are told to try out a different "spot/role" then you are used to please at least try...it helps you get better! If it doesn't work out it will be respected. But be willing to work as a team player because the team will have YOUR back as well. Be there for others and the raid will be smoother, more enjoyable and we will be able to raid more.
8.) No Grief!
Joking with other players about stuff is hilarious and fun! But if your honestly giving someone grief that's not cool. Refer to rule 1...Good example: If we have 5 clan mates and need only one more to power through a raid, and we ask you if you want to join. If you can't join say so. OR truth be told you honestly just don't feel like it? Say you don't feel like it. There will be NO grief for this. We have lives and that is understood and respected in WTF. Sometimes you wanna just get on and grind with no team mates. Say you don't feel like it! No worries. Most people want to join a clan for the comradery of others so obviously that is expected some. But if you don't feel like doing something say as much. The leader of WTF (Yoda) has a lot of responsibilities and a life outside of the clan. Yoda can't get on for all activities and won't. This applies to the Jester's as well. This is not a clan that will require you to join raids, trials, strikes, etc and if you don't you get kicked, etc. No grief. #Respect. Now, with that being said you do need to at least be somewhat active.
- Please be ACTIVE on Destiny 2 at least once per week and when you are please be willing to play with/help out other fools!
- Please be active on the Discord app! This helps you receive help when needs be...and helps other members in return!
9.) Handling Conflict
You need to be able to resolve differences. No one is the same. If you have a problem with another clan member, talk to them about it and not others about them. If you can't resolve your differences do not be afraid in the least to go to YODA to help resolve the conflict. If the conflict is due to one or more clan mates being overly rude...it will be an easy resolution. Rude members won't last. If it is a simple misunderstanding though, it will be resolved peacefully. But for crying out loud, this goes with rule #1...if you can't be mature enough to understand your own self, that you made a mistake or were rude, and man or woman up and simply say sorry, than WTF isn't right for you.
10.) Cursing. . . it happens! Someone steps right in front of you as you launch a rocket. You are one second away from completing the Leviathan Raid and someone wipes because they were being stupid which causes the whole team to wipe. Cursing happens! People in WTF curse. That's okay! But if you are the type of person who curses every other word than that's not cool. It is generally accepted that members of WTF can play with other team mates with everyone's voice on their TV speakers with kids around. Just use discretion. . . if your a Navy sailor, great! But keep the strings of expletives out to sea okay Popeye? ;)
* If you are in a party chat & everyone is cursing? Go for it. If you get in another party chat and you notice people aren't cursing as much? Simply be able to curb the cursing & adapt to the environment.
11.) WTF Leadership
If you are Raiding or doing anything with any of the following WTF members, they are going to be the leaders of any given event. Please respect that and don't try to take charge. They are awesome people, laid back, trustworthy, and not rude. They are not elitists and are always helpful and kind. They are in charge, but don't be afraid to come to them with questions, concerns or anything at all. If multiple leaders are in the same activity together the top rank assumes lead. If said leader wants to delegate lead for that event then that is done seamlessly and by that leaders choice to the next in line. This is handled easily because leaders always let whoever has the best knowledge of an activity lead anyway. If players are just chillin, please don't be "that guy" who just HAS to lead when no lead is wanted.

12.) Discord - For Communication
We use Discord as our primary means of communication. Please be prepared to use the Discord app so you aren't left out of the communication loop! Everything including raids is normally announced on our Discord server. Clan members will be able to respond on Discord and express interest/organize.
