I've accepted that I'll be starting D2 with basically nothing, and that's fine. I would like to know if guns such as the Pocket Infinity, the Gjallarhorn, and the Outbreak Prime will be in D2 somewhere to earn again.
I'm okay with not having them given to me at the start, but I'm still having trouble coming to terms with the thought that "you will never be able to use this gun again".
Yeah, there's always "you can go back to D1 and use it there", but what about the migration of players that will undoubtedly follow D2's release? Barely anybody will be playing anymore. What about when D1's servers go down? Then we won't have access to our items at all.
I'm okay with letting things go for a while, but not forever. I want to know that at some point in D2, I'll eventually have the chance to get back everything I've lost. From my weapons, both exotic and legendary, to my sparrows, both overdrive and trick. I don't care if I have to earn them again, as long as there's a chance of getting them, no matter how remote, I will be okay with it.
Besides, think of all the work on Bungie's part to make this stuff, especially the new armor for AoT. Wouldn't it be a huge waste of money to not bring them back at some point?

If the Cabal blows up the tower, and your Touch of Malice is in the vault, what happens to oryx Possible return in D2?
