How so? It set the plot, and I thought it was really funny and inspiring at the same time

Didn't seem balanced enough for my liking or that they were trying to hard to make cayde seem like the funny guy. I would have preferred the whole thing be Zavala and get us hype and potentially chills and things like that

I've made this comment elsewhere, but I think one of the (many) reasons there was such a huge backlash against Vanilla Destiny was because of the advertising. The original ads set the stage for this grand epic universe saving adventure that never actually materialized. In contrast, the live action trailers from right before the game dropped and reprised when TTK came out captured the spirit of Destiny much better, which is mainly, goof off with your friends and collect sweet loot. So, I think they're trying to avoid the same mistake. The trailer sets the stage and indicates the stakes with Zavala's bits but still captures the essence of what the Destiny experience is really all about with Cayde's lines. Different strokes, of course, but I can certainly understand why Bungie would be hesitant to oversell some epic grand story that they'll never be able to deliver on because of the inherent nature of a shared world MMO-esque grindy shooter.

Zavala should have had more badass parts

I thought they could have let Zavala speak more
