So the issue seems to occur if you completed the weekly crucible playlist to get the radiant treasure before the patch dropped this morning.

This is something some people seem to overlook every update. Updates don't kick in until the update kicks in... but your weekly counters reset at weekly reset. Update time is usually about 6 hours or so after reset time. If you receive your weekly reward before the update, then you've received your weekly reward, even if that reward changes after the update, you've already received your weekly reward and you can't receive another.
