There is no second traveler in the first picture, it's the mapping graphics (the ones they got from the Time Bandits map) overlayed on the scene.

I completely agree the 'traveller' now in the picture is a director map graphic which may represent the traveller , but in the destiny 2 pic with the big 2 serves as the sheild behind the words . The concept art that lies beneath has a proper traveller which is concealed by the bottom of the 2 . This 2 was removed and a zoom done of the art making it appear as two travellers. But the director geometric design extends beyond the new traveller meaning that you can't make too much of it . It's a poster
