Cuz I mean... the Darkblade's spite was a reskin of the original Crota fusion rifle right? (Which is coming back in Age of Triumph) And in my opinion, The Murmur honestly looks pretty cool, and could make for a very cool exotic with it's own ornaments too! I mean IT SWITCHES ELEMENTS!!! Maybe if it was exotic It could switch between all three?!
That could help alot with certain burns on certain strikes, or at least make it relevant again, since the strangers rifle was turned into an exotic, the old POE sniper was turned into a legendary along with the Vestian Dynasty, and all of the old raid guns, and the strike specific weapons.
Also... it's a pretty good fusion rifle for PVE. Was using it the other day on my lvl 20 titan, (was making it because I was honestly bored and I hated my old one's appearance) and it could take out ultras pretty fast.
...Could also give us all a reason to go back and do the Dark Below questline again. Maybe to get the original and delete it and start a small quest for it, like the Khovostov's. Eh?
What do you think? Could it be a cool exotic or am I just babbling nonsense? XD
Edit: Forgot to mention, it does have some recoil control issues already, so that could make it somewhat balanced in the crucible if it's good when you can actually use your special ammo!
2nd Edit: Holy shit we're trending. Lol

yeah, just like the pockey infinity everyone bitches about but will never actually use
-
Yus please!!!!!!!
-
Susanoo switches elements between all three depending on what element your character is. It's current light, Thesan-y archetype, great weapon and a unique legendary that's better than many exotics.
-
I didn't care much for the gun itself, but the concept of an adjustable element should be revived.

-
Hell yes
-
YES PLEASE!!!
-
That would be amazing I still have the original in my vault

It was actually an interesting weapon when The Dark Below was released. So, why not ? -
Yep Murmur was great, I want wear 3 one now.
-
It was bomb back in the day. Up for anything, murmur/ice breaker and SGA/corrective measure were my weapons of choice. Miss those days.
-
I like to think of my murmur as current. It just does really little damage.
-
Trump does
-
It was a nice shard.
-
If there was a way to switch elements without pausing I'd be all over that.
-
-
I want it to be an exotic that becomes the arc version when hip fired and the solar version when ADS. Maybe they could even add a void version that activates when you crouch.
-
-
When this gun was first released. I was excited for more special type weapons like this. But nope.
-
It was a wonder of a gun, dual elemental without ammo loss.
-
Honestly, while it would be neat to have, at the same time I kind of don't want to see it return in the exact same form. More or less. It being a relic of the Dark Below kind of makes it something special because of how unique it was.
-
Murmur was a legendary that was more exotic than anything in the game at the time. This and black hammer were one of a kind.
-
I actually really loved the murmur and used it frequently. I think it's actually one of the only fusions I've ever really used. It would melt oracles in VoG. I'm going to miss it next week....

I want to say it's a bad idea to put it as a exotic (because I like it in legendary)
but then again like all op weapons people will start using it in PVP and cause it to be nerfed like what they did with truth
but to put it as a legendary, it will be used (I think mostly in PVP) to much that it might get nerfed
I think to much of the possibilities that they might nerf it (if it makes a comeback in the game)
but maybe they can put the quest in the record book… maybe

I kept my necro from yr 1. Why can't I just get the upgrade BUNGIE?
-
I tried to get Murmur again because my Questline was active on a character, but unfortunately, Eris didn't give it to me because I had already picked it up on all three characters. So once you've nabbed it, if you delete it (even if you can do the quest), you're totally out of luck.
