It was a decent episode that showed Rick and Michonne definitely got their groove back. I enjoyed the optimism and confidence they displayed. They were even able to laugh and joke while being put in an awful situation. Rosita is losing her mind though and is really messing up. I wouldn't be surprised if she's the next to go. Tara's struggle to tell Rick about the lady camp seems to display what Jesus must have been thinking about when he disclosed the Kingdom's secret.

  • I think it would be much mote powerful if Rosita's struggles resulted in someone else dying, just to show her that she needs to shape up.

  • Well, she seems to be dragging Sasha into it. But there isn't much love there to begin with so that may not be as big an impact.

  • Perhaps, but she's also emotionally closed herself off. Might be someone like Tara, too.

  • I'd be bummed if it was Eugene. That would have the biggest impact on Rosita but then we wouldn't have Eugene, who by the way I think is successfully playing Neegan.

  • Eugene successfully played everyone way back. He is an incredible liar. I think it could be something with him or with Negan testing him on his friends. It could also be in relation to the people who don't want to be with Negan and Rosita realising they aren't all bad. Lots of possibilities.

Y'know.. I'd actually be disappointed if Eugene has any sort of plan. It goes completely against his character. He's a coward, a leech, and a survivor because of it. He's lied and manipulated everyone around him since he was first introduced for the sole purpose of his own survival. Only barely ever showing any actual loyalty to anyone. And that person is now dead. I suppose it could work out that Red's death finally sparked some sort of courage in him in the name of revenge, but he never showed any indication of that before he was captured. Just the same old doubtful and scared survivor. I think Eugene finally found the most secure place he's been in since the infection started. He's got food, authority, power.. everything he could ask for. But yes.. he's around Negan and he's terrified of him. So, if Rick and the gang decide to attack, and Eugene finds himself in a position where it's easy to help and not be in too much danger doing it.. I can believe he'd do that. But devising some secret plan behind Negan's back just doesn't fit his character.

I like to think he's manned up a bit ever since chomping down on Dwights dong. Plus, there was a few times he let out a grin while taking advantage of the compounds amenities. I think he's come into his own. My hope its that he is so smart that he is playing the "scared genius" to perfection as a sort of camoflauge. By the end of the episode Neetan even told him not to be scared anymore, basically accepting him as one of them. He already made Neegan think that he broke him. This leaves Eugene the freedom and time to devise a proper plan. Seeing how quickly he came up with a solution for Neegan's fence walker problem, imagine what he could do with time. Edit: spelling

Yeah, I could see them doing some sort of redemption arc with him. I'd still be disappointed though. I like Eugene as the harmless and quirky little slimeball. It's an interesting character.
