Teacher/School Logic Thread

Post em As OP, I'll go first. Some students are causing trouble so the teacher punishes the entire class as a way to get those students singled out but then condemns fighting and singling out students. Teachers that do that piss me off. Just call the kids out when you know they are being dicks. Don't try to get everyone to group up on them because no one cares enough to and no one wants to get into trouble. Most of the things that teachers threaten to do because of some kids talking is really petty.

  • Now, back when I was in high school, I'd sleep in the afternoons and go to work for an Owner-Operator doing grunt work and shit like that, changing tires, patching tires, shoveling coal and clay out of trailers, changing shocks and brakes, etc. etc, real easy shit. As it was, I didn't do homework, and I'd usually just return it to the teachers desk unmarked, with the occasional complaint or write-up for my refusal to do it. The Coach in my 1st Block Res. Wiring class though, he'd let me catch a little extra sleep in his class provided I did my in-class work, and he'd cover for me if the Vice Principal or a Counselor walked in because he knew the people I worked for. But, the point of this story lies in the bitch of a Substitute that I almost always got stuck with in that class, and how scummy of a person she was. Whenever she was covering for him, I'd carry about on my normal routine, and at first she ignored it, for maybe the first two or three times she covered for him. But, she progressively became more of a scumbag. It started out with slapping a ruler on my desk, or maybe shouting at me from across the room, and eventually got to the point where she'd pull my table out from under me or kick my chair to wake me up. Well, I finally got tired of it, and decided that one day I wouldn't clean myself up before I went in to school. Just imagine being in a set of coveralls and work boots that are so caked and covered in grease, coal, clay, diesel fuel and gasoline that you can't even tell what color they used to be, and smelling like you look. I went into class that day just like that, and sat down in a corner of the room to do my work and continue on about my day. I ended up passing out in that corner, and slept through the rest of the class without interruption, and when I woke up the only thing she did was turn her nose up at me and point me to the door.
