Feels and looks like it should have come out two years ago.

I played the beta and while I thought it wasn't horrible it just felt like it was missing something to keep me engaged. I'll be renting through Gamefly and so my buddy has someone to play it with.

The Beta nailed it for me. I'm definately going to buy it. In about 18 months, when i can get it in a '2 games for £19.99' at Game or something.
-
I played it for about 30 minutes before turning it off. I could tell almost instantly it was gonna be a repeat of MGS5 and just didn't bother.
-
Maybe graphically. But besides that your statement is completely incorrect. It's actually pretty advanced for a world of that size, and we've only had the beta. If you choose not to play a game exclusively because of graphics you're kind of missing the point.
-
I thought the game was ok. I beat all the missions in both zones in only a few hours. The graphics are pretty good but the game feels very open/empty. The one thing I can't figure out is how to get the helicopter with forward facing guns/rockets to dip its nose down.

So far by a lot of comments in various threads, you either hate it or love it. I love the gameplay and the option to take on the missions how you want. Maybe I just think it is really good so far because I had zero expectations and thought it was going to be just a generic third person shooter. I think Ubisoft pulled it off, yes the story so far is ok at best and the mission structure is too basic, but the gameplay and feeling of capturing a command post without anyone noticing you on a harder difficulty is awesome. It is reminiscent of the PS2 Ghost Recon games and Conflict: Desert Storm. I am getting it if the game turns out to be as good as the beta, if it had split screen I would easily buy it.
-
It's Mercenaries basically. Same here, my money can go to other places.
-
Yeah I was a bit blown away on console. It looks like a 360 game during the day. Other than that the game was good. Not great. I will be waiting a while for a sale. It is definitely not bad though. Ubisoft has been making a big come back, in my opinion, and I'm very happy to see it.
-
More like 5. It's a hard "pass" for me.
-
It's not very good.
-
I won't be buying it.
-
The driving and flying sucks and there essential no buy for me Why can't ubisoft teams develop good driving mechanics?
-
Looks a lot like Cod in fps view
-
Its over the shoulder Far Cry, but less fun. Ill buy it just because Destiny is a wasteland.
-
It's pretty bad
-
Shitballs.

My opinion lies in the iffy realm. Solo, it's the same old open world slog of capture 1 base after another until the game allows you to killthe leader of that territory and you can progress to the next to do the exact same thing. Hell, I've been farming resources off a respawning convoy for the past hour. But that's the point isn't it? I have been playing it for the past hour doing the same repetitive thing, so that same repetitive thing can't be horrible right? Multiplayer co-op is what I feel makes it fun. Kind of interesting when one on your buddies misses his shot in the sequence you've been carefully choreographed for the last 3 minutes and you have to switch to full out guns blazing incursion mode before the lieutenant decides he going to make off with the helo you're trying to steal. I'll probably wait a month or 2 and pick it up used at a half way acceptable price.
-
Not worth the money. The game will get old too fast. Once you completed one or 2 missions you pretty much played them all. That's my opinion though.
-
Its fun but yeah the network has some issues. Yes I know its in beta, but so was For Honor.

Edited by eviltedi: 2/26/2017 7:00:27 AMI saw a friends clip on Xbox One, my mind was made up when I saw the big banner on the screen with the words host migration in progress. No dedicated servers = No sale.

Meh I know TC games have a following of their own and to those players I say I hope the enjoy the game. But from the half hour I spent on it I can already say it's not for me.
-
Lol the driving felt like if the flying controls from Superman 64 were put in modern day graphics into a car while being glued to the road.
-
Two years ago? What are you smoking? There is no time period where this game should exist. Period.
-
I am going to get it and have it pre ordered. You may have a different opinion but I love it (and I have a good sum of $ saved up.) I had been super hyped and for the 1st time ever, I think that the friendly AI actually does what I want it to do, even with the limited controls for them. I love that there is plenty to do (and some of Holt's shitty jokes) and that I am able to steal vehicles when I want. I like al of the little tactical detailsand the fact I was able to sneak past 7 guards at point blank because I had a gillie suit. The only critisisms was that I wanted to be able to dress up my other teamates so I could make ghillie team 6 and that the helicopter controls suck. I call it a by. I'm definitely buying it, but not day one. I'll be waiting until the week after.
