FYI Microsoft Users With Preview Build (Especially Alpha Users)

All, There is currently a known glitch in the coding of the Microsoft XB1 code with regards to those in the preview program specifically the Alpha users (not using the alpha software but those receiving the most unstable versions of the OS) that is NOT allowing certain games to work. One of those games is Destiny. You will not be able to connect from the XBOX Live Servers to the Bungie switching servers which will NOT allow you to play your game. While I appreciate your frustration and anger towards this, I hate to say it but this is part of being in a test program. As a coder, I can tell you being part of this program is great but you will ALWAYS run into issues like this (same as if you ran the Microsoft Windows Preview builds). The repair patch may be several days to a week or so out to re-patch the update and fix it. When you signed up for the program, they warned you that there may be issues with games/apps/etc. while in the program as the test community is who helps work these bugs out. This problem is NOT an easy fix. It will take some time. That means you may be out several games for quite some time until that bug is chased down. Occasionally, you can reboot your console, your router and your modem by allowing them to sit unplugged for >2 minutes; it MIGHT allow you to play for a short time but eventually you will be back to the same situation you are in right now.     So, you WORK for Microsoft Xbox team as a coder? If the answer is NO, then please don't assume it will take 'several days to a week' to fix. This happened previously just over 2 years ago and Microsoft had it fixed in under 48 hours. Yes its a bummer, but there are OTHER games out there to play - and YES - I want to play Destiny as my first choice. Just think, if this patch (which goes LIVE to the entire XboxOne community in under 2 weeks) was released and THEN they found out this problem, what sort of response the general Xbox users would be firing back to Bungie & Microsoft!!! Thanks PS - Unplugging and doing hard restarts WON'T HELP - it's a SOFTWARE issue NOT an infrastructure or hardware issue. PPS - Quitting the Alpha program won't help you, it takes about 72 hours for your request to be implemented by the customer services team at Microsoft Xbox - about approximately the same time the fix should be up and running! (hopefully!)
