Just my input for D2, let's not make the same mistakes
Aside from all of the weapon retuning issues the main complaint is that the game is shrinking instead of expanding with each release. I don't see the need for light leveling since it's loot that we are primarily after, this is a shooter/looter. Each expansion renders what you spent time grinding for useless and reduces the playable content which we purchased. You have been listening to the complaints since TDB. You fixed that with HoW with a confirmation that you would not do it again but you did with TTK and continue to do so with no regard for player feedback.
There is plenty of gear and weapons in the old raids that never dropped for me. Some 40 completions thru VoG without ever getting the cloak. But after TTK there was no point in returning even for that let alone the rarest of weapon drops.
If you are planning on bringing up the old raids but insist on this leveling system then I would say don't bother. This is just my opinion but I'm tired of chasing items that are going to be phased out every 3-4 months. That's a primary reason why my friends list is empty. There's just no point to it and no real point to playing the game if Destiny 2 stays the course. Don't get me wrong it's fun to play but for those of us who are loot collectors you have made our time spent in this game pretty pointless.
