I can't copy and paste the tweet because I can't find it, but I heard that a Bungie dev said on twitter: that the No Land Beyond has "no flinch" hard coded into it, such that fixing it would be very very difficult and take a lot of time. That is more or less what the dev said. I would imagine that trying to fix it would cause additional problems.
