I'm more concerned that it teaches younglings that animal violence is ok as long as the animals involved don't die, merely fall into temporary comas to be revived and subjected to more violence later. It's an endless cycle of depravity and psychopathic cruelty, all in the name of power drunkenness in order to become the best. The slavery of the animals is inconsequential, as long as the kids keep moving up the power ladder. It enforces the idea that a child's personality and morals are meaningless and that the only thing that matters is how much of a bully you can be. It enforces the idea that nature is there for you to rape and exploit for personal gain, and that long term consequences are of no importance. It encourages rivalry and gangland lifestyles, instilling a dog-eat-dog mentality upon the younglings. And let's not forget how it encourages running away from home, abandoning your heartbroken, widowed mother for personal glory in strange and violent lands. Pokemon is subliminal Imperial Japanese propaganda designed to infiltrate and corrupt the minds of the young so that when the Japanese Empire reemerges, no-one will be prepared to fight back. Edit: this just in—reports indicate "sarcasm" is a totally alien concept to some forumites. We will update you with more news as it becomes available.

  • The best is when you are capturing them to add them to your pokedex, never to use them ever again. Like Tauros, mr mime, and various other useless ones.

  • I thought it was obvious this thread was a shitpost so I wouldn't need to say so in my comment. Today I learned never to give Offtopic the benefit of the doubt.
Today I learned never to give Offtopic the benefit of the doubt.
Of course not. Just do what I do. Embrace it. If they can't discern whether or not a post is serious, that's their fault. This is why I purposely make threads that could be seen as serious. The jester is easily replaced when the king gets tired of his jokes, or in other terms, the king can easily find a new jester to entertain him.

  • Not to be rude, but I've never seen your threads as serious. I've always understood that they were jokes, satire, or other kinds of shitposts. I thought that was common knowledge around here, that your posts aren't to be taken seriously (except for the few that you make regarding your expertise of study—quantum physics?). Shrugs. Guess Einstein was right when he said the universe and stupidity were the only two infinites.

It's not rude, my threads that don't concern science aren't meant to be taken seriously. There's really no point to debating these other subjects online, and anyone who thinks there is might as well be a jester to me.

  • Judging by the fact that you can't recognize a shitpost while browsing Offtopic, I doubt that.

  • Sure you may seem fine, but in the dark part of your mind are orders to take controll. To everyone who looks and who you talk to, everthing as is normal. That's just how it is I'm afraid, one day you will awaken and become a mindless puppet.

  • Just like Mason from Black Ops. They want you to think you're a normal, fully functional person, not a corrupted sleeper agent. The fact that he believes so is a testament to the genius of their trap.

  • Also proof of their experiments exist. There was that one time in japan, when an episode aired and there was this fight between polygon and Pikachu. a light show happened and it caused a lot of kids to go to the hospital.

  • Or maybe it's just a video game for kids to have fun while they fantasize about it. You're thinking too deep into it

  • I just see it as another game. If kids are going to play this and pick this up from a video game. Perhaps, the parent(s) should tell their child to differentiate reality from fantasy.
