Potential Trials of Osiris Changes For Sequel

This could be a running list of things to be changed for Trials for either now or in the next game. Anyhoo. Positives of ToO -Competitive. The Best of the Best Make It. -Gripping. The Game Mode grabs you and doesn't let go, you can get lost in the cards. -Single Map Weekly. This is perhaps my favorite aspect. It allows you to focus. -Big Risk and Big Rewards. The players that commit to their decisions often get rewarded, going flawless for the first time is one of the top 5 best moments in Destiny for me. -Defeat is Not Surrender. Coming back 1-4 or 0-4 to clutch the match is so satisfying. -Rewards. Actually rewarded for doing well and time played. Cards do well then you do well. Negatives of ToO -Exploitative. Skorris has seemingly become a more prevalent problem. While it took me time to get behind this being a problem, a player being rewarded for doing nothing after he has gained his super (i say gained not earned) is a detriment to the game. Other exploits are also available in trials and are abused. (Self Rez warlocks, I'm looking at you) -Time Consuming. While the game mode is particularly addictive, it also has a problem with time between matches, connections are difficult to deal with. The time it takes to acquire a card, apply boons, gather a fireteam and then play is tedious, while this is a small complaint, there are some solutions to resolve this. -Competitive. While this is also in the pros column, it definitely deserves to be in the cons. Trials is meant to be for the elite but I also think there could be ways to decrease the skill gap between teams. Potential Changes -Rebrand/Revamp Vance. Brother Vance apart from the cards and bounties, is not useful. He could have a Xur aspect to him and offer up good armor and weapon alternatives that particularly excel those who play in Trials. It would/could be a different set from the one earned on the card but still useful and costs a lot of glimmer and/or Marks to get. May shards too. -Get rid of going to the reef so often. You buy the card when you click the game mode. Vance can still be used for bounties but when you have a full fireteam, you automatically buy the card and the game just tracks it. There could be animations or vids to indicate the card reset and the entrance to the card could be sleeker or hold more importance. -Disadvantage Modifiers. A helping hand if you will, while the higher skilled players at Trials will disagree with me, and this idea would be difficult to swallow, teams that are severely losing could gain a small buff from "Osiris" for a loss gap of 2 or more rounds. After 2 rounds down, 1% buff, 3 rounds 2-3% buff, 4 rounds 5-6% buff. All to armor, agility and recovery. Nothing would be taken away from the team ahead. And the advantage would decrease as more rounds were won by the losing team. This could also be like an Iron Banner or Crimson Days or Creepy Trials type thing. Happens once a month to give lower skilled players a chance. Again, not fully thought out but just a thought. -Skorris Correction. Kill/Objective = Super distributed. You get yours but 1/4 of Super gained could be added to your fireteam. This would apply instead of needing a full Super to distribute. Another alternative would be your super gets drained. 2x as fast for each team mates around you. Once the connection is broken. Can't be reconnected until that person has their super back. Basically Inverse Felwinter almost. And you wouldn't be able to use your super. You'd be a support player. -Brute Force Tactics. Rewards in a match for specific medals, i.e. Double kills and triple kills, support roles, etc. would be something small like motes, marks or planetary materials. -Locked in Weapons. You'd get a brief chance to look at your opponents potential loadout. Then a count down timer starts. Weapon changes will be seen but nothing is set until the timer has ended. And then as soon as they are chosen that's it for the entirety of the match. This could apply for just the last couple matches of your card or for an Iron Banner scenario. There are numerous others I could add. This is just my opinion, you get hateful, you get the boot or no acknowledgement, don't have time for that. This is meant to be constructive. Also, I'm aware I'm not the best player out there but I still have an opinion on changes.
