Thoughts on the bladedancer changes

To be honest (and a little snarky), having your favorite subclass smitten because one developer found it annoying in low level PVP "feels bad." I am by no means a pro player, but I understand the game and like to think of myself as a little above average. Bladedancer has always been my favorite subclass since vanilla, and seeing it get weaker and weaker as the game's life goes on has been worrying. But this feels like the real nail in the coffin. Prior to this most recent patch, bladedancer was a subclass on life support, with a few strengths (skip grenades, quickdraw) holding up a lot of weaknesses (easily counterable super, worthless melee, nearly no talent variety in the subclass tree). I personally did not think skips should have been nerfed because they were really one of the only strengths that the subclass had, but I understand that most everyone else disagreed, and I am fine with them being reeled in. Maybe I took health regeneration on super kills for granted, since it feels intrinsic to the super and arc blade would be pitiful without it, but I didn't realize how necessary it was until it went away. Even if no one on the other team has special ammo to take you out, any half decent players will focus fire you (since blink was already never used, but got nerfed again for good measure) into oblivion, or simply run away. The only way to really make good use of arc blade was to activate it very close to the enemy, but doing so will almost certainly mean taking a lot of damage. Without being able to recover after a kill, the super feels almost like I would be better off not using it at all. Quickdraw was the only other saving grace to the subclass, but it already felt hollow since every warlock was getting it and then some on their gloves. With quickdraw being stripped of it's best feature, it hardly seems worth running, but fleet footed is not very useful without shorguns (as frustrating as it is with them) and invisibility is near pointless. What I would have done is not touch the quickdraw talent, but instead strip the quickdraw feature from Ophidian Aspects. Those gloves do everything: grenade throw, melee speed, reload spead, and quickdraw? Feels like more than a little much, and quickdraw used to make bladedancer unique. I cannot imagine I am in the minority with these sentiments, and as much as I hate to see it go, I really don't see myself ever using bladedancer again in any serious sense, even with the health chunk on super kills being increased, unless some of the aforementioned changes get made. Rest in pieces to my favorite, and one of the most unique, features of this game that we all love so much.
