Im a classic halo fan as you know, fell in love with vanilla destiny pvp for being unique yet not too familiar, just enough to still feel at home
I can say without a doubt, turning this game into halomis the worst thing i could possibly see happen to the game simply because they game as the whole was not developed to play like that.
When you attempt to make it into something its not, it feels, janky, akward, out of place, and just not right.
Im actually considering getting halo 5 despite being not very fond of its change in philosophy, but the game was tailored to that style, not changed into that awkwardly. So as a standalone game, it feels very smooth and definitely a great interpretation of halo, that i simply dont like.
Thing is although im not a halo 5 fan, its still better than destiny atm, becuase it built on its new image, rather than tried to go back akwardly.
I still love destiny, but boy are they screwing up

Nobody want PvP to be exactly like Halo, they just want it to be balanced. What wrong with that?

Edited by TheShadow: 2/20/2017 8:08:53 AMIf you do get Halo 5 I can tell you this much. The graphics is something you might have to get used to. You you have new abilities like shoulder charge on the Titan. You can actually climb things. Ground pound like the Titan but you have more control of it. The Forge World is freaking awesome! Other then that I think you know already How Halo is. As far as Destiny goes. This is not Halo, BO, BF1, COD, BF etc, and Bungie doesn't need to treat it as such.

There is naturally a big camp of Destiny players who bought the game because they liked Halo. I'm in that group and folks like me want the game to be more like Halo with set starting weapons and limited access to power weapons. There is also no denying that Call of Duty has the most players of any console game and many players want expect quick kills like Call of Duty. For me, the plethora of one-hit kills in Destiny means it never hit that sweet spot they way Halo did.

Awwww :(

Halo was fair across the board because they left it alone. Every weapon did a set damage. They didnt have a company like activision calling every shot. But the bungie team took it upon themselves to fix something that wasnt broken. Now we are all unhappy. But bungie seems to think they know what we like regardless of our opinion. Why the hell would we put ourselves through the same crap for part 2 ???

I don't think they even know what this game should be. It's like a halo, new age cod, combined with elder scrolls and wow rng. They made pve near perfectly in my opinion. Pvp should either not be competitive. Or they need to make it a total seperate thing from pve with Balance that allows for a competitive pvp
-
The game being 6 months away from it's sequel, I hardly doubt like some "geniuses" down on here are stating they should "revert back to year 1". Do these people have any idea of how game companies work?
-
So the Game is bad because it does not live up to your level of standards. SMH

Bunch of apes on these forums, goodjob Bungie on the last update, Just take away sidearm ammo and we golden.
-
In my opinion you will never have a balanced game until everyone uses the same weapons / grenades. That's what made Halo so competitive. Everyone started out with the same guns. It was your skill that determined the outcome not the weapons.
-
No, Halo was a game with an actual story, a fun and balanced pvp and one that will be remembered for how great it was! You are correct, destiny is nothing like halo.
-
Halo 5 runs on dedicated servers at 60 fps... Nerfs are a distant secondary problem with Destiny.

How is it like halo?

*isn't, not isint

Edited by Marcheziora: 2/20/2017 6:49:57 PMSpartan Change is too weak, activates too quick, knockback is too strong, Halo 5 still doesn't follow the Golden Rule of Halo (which is strong focus to Grenades, Melee, Firearms only, no Sprint as it destroys the flow of combat) Warzone is still broken & unfair but the Custom Game Browser is GREAT! I have issues with both games as much as I love these franchises but it's quite true that Halo 5 standard gameplay FEELS better & faster than Destiny. #BuffPrimariesMore

I'm honestly thinking they're trying to mold it into a competitive MLG thing, at the cost of the rest of the game. With all the variables that the game has (Unique perks, stats, weapons, abilities, classes) That if it were an MLG, then it would constantly be unbalanced. Frankly, they need to stop heading in that direction at the cost of both the current pvp and pve side of the game.

Isint....I guess if you sound it out that's how it sounds but, it's "isn't".
-
Nice spelling of isn't mate 👍🏻

Microsoft and 343 destroyed halo 5, both bungie and community are pushing this game down a path that many don't like

Edited by Enochua: 2/20/2017 7:00:27 AMI have always looked at destiny and halo in the same category of arcade shooters but completely different in presentation. destiny has always felt unbalanced when it came to pvp, and to me i always knew that it was because near the end of development, when balance is applied, they lost so many people that were working on the game and they were more focused on pushing a "finished" product. But also because it was developed on old tech with old ideas. Everything about destiny should be based on combat effectiveness. there are jumps and nades that feel lack luster compared to other classes jumps and nades. blink should have been directional from the beginning. then u incorporate things like shade step and twilight garrison late in the game and other classes get left behind. I guess what I am getting at is that there is a lot in destiny that feels like unfinished thoughts completed by different people. so when destiny 2 comes out and feels completely different, but still feels imspired by halo and destiny legacy a lot of people will complain because they have already been led in so many directions.

Then you say it's better. Are you tripping? C) How is Destiny going backwards awkwardly? I don't get it.

How is this game in any way like Halo? Halo didn't have a multitude of choices of auto rifles or guns in general. There are literally like 100+ guns in this game and even more choices when it comes to perk trees. Your tripping dude. I want whatever your smokin

Agree with your comments 100%. But halo 5 is still worth it. I dont play the pvp as much as i do halo firefight. Me and my destiny raid team have a blast getting together to run trucks n tanks all over silly AI's.

Halo wasn't that great
