I got bad news for ya mate. Well, it's good news actually. Welcome to the "dark" side, where we do not buy the lies people tell us. Yes, Bungie has in fact ruined the game since 2.0, while their intentions were to fix it. We can conclude they are absolutely terrible at it (fixing that is), while they are very good at making games for initial release.
The poison lies in the reasoning for changes and the explanation given. When they give you Change #1, with which Explanation #1 comes shipped, both are false. So the change is bad, and their explanation misses the target. In other words, they make absolutely no sense to those seeing what's going wrong. Not many understand this unfortunately. I strongly believe 99% of this community has no idea on how to fix the problems technically (not anecdotally). This is very normal in my eyes. It's a complex topic. But believe me, they have made some huge mistakes. I have always kinda accepted their idiotic behavior but just like yourself, this patch pushed me over the **** line. I no longer feel the need to support Bungie in any way. Their next chance is the complete return of year 1 (and better, for example ARs, scouts and pulse rifles being extremely strong they can compete with Thorn/TLW). I don't accept anything else. They are so conservative. The game is 3 yrs old yet they shit their pants when they make an update. They are so afraid of whining that they simply decide to take special out of the equation instead of returning year 1 TTKs. It's not about TLW or Thorn for me, just the speed in which one can kill, compared to Year 1.
