Does Bungie even check these forums?

Cuz if they did they might notice players unhappy and leaving in droves. I'm one of them. I've worked as hard as I could to be good in PVP cuz that's the meat of what Bungie wanted Destiny to be. I didn't want to at first. I avoided Crucible and IB like the plague in year 1. But I caved and began working to improve my PVP skills in year 2. Practiced and clawed my way to what I felt was finally a step forward. I was finally winning matches, and I'd found weapons and load outs that I could turn to in certain situations that allowed me to be competitive and useful. I was having fun in PvP. Then this update patch came. Now all I was good at is gone and after 4 nights of getting my a-s-s absolutely handed to me by the same weapons over and over and over I'm finding myself feeling 100% finished. It's not about me getting good or whining or crying about this. It's about wanting to do something enjoyable with my down time. And that was taken away with this patch. It's the special ammo BS. It's nerfing my blade dancer into the f-k-n ground and forcing me to play a class I DON'T wanna play. It's constantly changing weapon balancing with no rhyme or reason. It's a lack of dedicated servers. It's latency that makes PVP less about skill and more about luck. It's that they don't crack down on DDS-ers and lag switchers. It's being told I can play however I want but being forced to play a particular style or weapon if I wanna win. It's the ridiculous sniping mechanics. It's head glitchers. And it's a complete and utter lack of communication from anyone on Bungie. I was able to work through the DLC pricing, the half a-s-s alpha shipped at launch, and the underwhelming content of said DLC. I came back. Because the game was still fun. But it hasn't been fun at all since this patch. And I can't do it anymore. I've got like 2400 hours invested in this game. But I'm putting my copy away for good this weekend. Honestly, I've hated this update so much that I'm going to cancel my destiny 2 preorder until I know that these issues are being addressed. I just wanna know if anyone at Bungie reads the posts that get put up or checks the forums. Cuz judging by the other posts I've read all over the forums I know I'm not alone in my absolute and complete hatred for this latest "update". I'm not posting this for attention or so that the internet trolls can have at it. I'm posting this hoping that Bungie reads this and stops ruining the game I've loved playing for 3 years.

  • Bump They don't read the forums at all and they especially don't play their game here's my simple explanation https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/222516273

  • I honestly feel like they just made the forum for us to chat and complain on. If they were smart about it they would use it as a tool to improve. Why only comment here an there? Why only make a relavent post once a month? Why post a weekly "we arent really doing much so we aint telling u much" update? If they wanna use the forum to improve features then address issues and ask what we want done about them. That way we at least know u know about the state of your own game. Make a poll on how we want u to fix things instead of assuming you know what the masses want. Stop preemptively nerfing stuff that isnt an issue yet and focus on whats glaringly obvious. And finally, actually come through with what the community wants! None of this "we hear you dont want X in the game, so we r leaving it in and toning it down a little". No. Just listen to what we say. Run ideas by us instead of presuming you cant do wrong and thinking you know what is best for the health of a game u guys dont seem to play much. For gods sake we only get a weekly update from you guys. Meanwhile we have someone sitting at a desk for a fast food company roasting people daily on twitter. Just interact with your community a little...

If people are leaving in droves, then why are you playing trials yourself? Looks like someone had way too many defeats and came here to bitch..

      • In Game Informer issue 287, Hajime Tabata said this in an interview about Final Fantasy XV: "In a sense, a game belongs to the developers until it releases, so we as developers prioritize our intentions as we develop the game. However, once the game releases, I believe that the game belongs to the players. That is why I feel it would be best if the development team and the players work together to make the game grow from now." That's the kind of attitude you should have as a developer. That's what Bungie SAYS they're doing, but they're failing miserably at it.

        • Sorry mate but you're full of BS. Complaining about the changes when you're still playing and streaming. You're only complaining as you've probably got killed a few times. Players like myself who decided to stop playing just stopped playing, we don't need to make a post about it. Especially as you're still playing it can't be that bad!

God, I hope they don't. I've never seen so much drivel in my life. It's like a day care center around here. Nothing but, "Wwaaaaaaaaaahhhhh." Over and over and over.....

            • Dude you are so right, I think its the whole 'meta' thing. In my opinion Bungie listen to much to what the players have to say instead of lookin for and finding out whats really best for the game, cause eventually they are the makers and have studied to know whats best for the game. Only reason for people to play bladedancer was the quickdraw so a lot of people dont play bladedancer anymore cause it got nerfed and then you get that you force players to another subclass and I guess thats not really what bungie wants, to force players to use top tier weapons and gear if you want to compete. Sidearms; Fine to spawn with ammo but for like 1 magazine, the problem is that you don't lose any sidearm ammo and that why people will mostly only play with sidearmswich makes any other secondairy opties less vialable, so I don't really get why you keep your sidearms ammo when you die while all other ammo is lost when upon dying. Also we need more why's, esecially when bungie streams about a new update, mostly we hear about the changes in dept but not why, i see you guys playing in a private match showng the community whats changed and the effect of it and its all fun and good but you guys dont seem to explain why something is really changed. Because of this people are to find out themselves what the new meta is and then you get the mixed feedback from the community. last but not least I like to make a example of this. A few of my friends decided to buy an xbox one and destiny. i find myself playing from day one but they dont have the gear or experience to match pvp yet, and what happened is that its so competitive focused that that arent skilled enough yet to compete in like trails or a normal pvp match cause they completly get wrecked by weapons and players that do have them. this results in my friends dont even wanna play pvp. I know its a personal preverence as well but still I don't think its the intention to force something on players if they wanna do good. PS: mabe a matchmaking type that allows fireteams or maybe 4+ to matchmake together to sort out the most competitive players against eachother and the lesser ones. Of course I dont know how it really works im just a player not a programmer at bungie but I think any tips are welcome. So let me know what you think and I hope that ShakaDula14's message gets some more attention from bungie then what it does now. Whippet6

                  • Not frequently because a majority of the popular posts are trash and uninformative/biased complaints. It's a miracle if a decent post peeks through during the week after a patch (source: the past few days)

Bungie tends to the minority Thoughts that sequel the loudest. It's unfair , I'm getting killed all the time. So do I but I know I'm crap at pvp. There are good players and bad. Bungie is giving all to bad players and not rewarding good players. Like giving medals out to every one who competes.

Anyone else seen anything on this forum?
