I posted this in a separate thread, but here it is again:
After two days of playing the newest patch I have some thoughts to share, some criticism to add, and some praise to give out.
1. Praise: I think the primary weapon situation is very solid. Hand cannons are crispy, but not hitting at ridiculous ranges. Scouts are still scouts. Pulse rifles are seeing a variety of options for your play style. And auto rifles feel...better. I think the new patch when it comes to primary weapons is great.
2. Thoughts to share: The special ammo situation is interesting...but ultimately annoying. With the transition from last week to today we have seen nothing more than an exchange from Matadors to Wormwoods/Trespassers. Possibly this is oversight, but sidearms retaining their ammo has created an army of players heavily dependent on using their sidearms to roam the map.
I have two ideas as to how this could be fixed:
a. Remove special ammo from sidearms after death, just like other weapons.
b. Instead of every special weapon losing special ammo after death, why not just remove only reserve special ammo? Example being, you have a Matador which holds five rounds in the mag. If you die with more than five rounds, you lose the reserve ammo but keep your five rounds; or if you have five or less rounds you still keep those rounds to your next spawn.
3. Criticism: The nerf to the Hungering Blade was unwarranted and unwanted by the community. And the resulting effect it had to every health regeneration perk in the game is unacceptable. This bug needs to be fixed.
