There are a lot of threads out there already on the new changes, but I wanted to give a central location to point everyone to when they ask me where they can share their thoughts. Now that you have had a few days to play the new changes we want to hear what you experiences have been playing.
What do you like?
What do you hate?
What do you think is good but could be better?
What would you change?

I've been playing destiny since the PS4 alpha and have put more hours into this game than is probably healthy. So I've seen a lot of attempts by Bungie to make the PvP meta more diverse so that it doesn't descend into a monoculture of a few good guns... and fail every time. Mostly because they keep sabotaging their own sandbox by releasing weapons which far outstrip their peers, which to be competitive causes the player base to immediately migrate to the new meta. So in order to fix this bungie nerf all guns in those classes, so make shotguns of any type less capable, the rangefinder nerf was particularly egregious as it discriminated against shotties which did not have a range issues, even worse because of the Matador 64 Bungie decided the player base was leaning too heavily on secondaries and so dismantled the entire ammo economy . So what do we have now, most of the player base has abandoned shotguns, fusions and snipers (Ice Breaker excluded) to run sidearms , which are now weighted so unfairly that again to be competitive we'll all be using them and so create yet another gun monoculture. I think for balance I'd have stripped all extra ammo collected on death and just left what was in the gun., as I'm continually running around with 50+ rounds which just allows me to spam the hell out of the thing, and in CQC it's difficult to beat when everyone's trying to use primaries again. The same goes for class nerfs, I main a hunter and I've seen every subclass diminished over the years to the point it's not that much fun. I loved trip nades and throwing daggers, gone... wombo / combo and double shade step, gone, I now main a bladedance and the removal of hungering blade and quickdraw was completely unnecessary, making survivability in super very problematic. It all looks like another attempt to bland out PvP so none of the interesting class builds really work any more, which is just dull. Exotics are another example of this, the blanding out of any weapon/armour item which might shine (it's an exotic it's suppose to be better than a legendary) . An exotic is an item you build your character around in interesting ways, it's what makes the game fun. By stripping the element which makes the item really unique (or actually useful) it just becomes another trophy in the vault, collecting dust until we hope it gets buffed, but this is so rare as to be a fantasy. I do hope when you roll out Destiny 2 later this year that you learn some lessons from this and concentrate on fun over some sort of homogenised bland balance which in the end in a game this large and complex is not really achievable.
