Hotfix 2.5.0.2 Feedback

There are a lot of threads out there already on the new changes, but I wanted to give a central location to point everyone to when they ask me where they can share their thoughts. Now that you have had a few days to play the new changes we want to hear what you experiences have been playing. What do you like? What do you hate? What do you think is good but could be better? What would you change?

  • What I like: Shotgun changes, Auto Rifle buffs, increased in air accuracy for all primaries, hand cannon changes (both accuracy and range dropoff), Fastest pulse rifles mags being cut down and high caliber rounds being toned down, throwing knife finally being solar (can we also get defender bubble buffs - weapons of light specifically to count as super kills for bounties now?), Quickdraw being toned down is fair - it being inbuilt to classes gave superiority to those classes for engagements and it even ruled what exotic warlocks would use, Stormcaller melee range being nerfed - finally this was well needed, Landfall nerf I think was good as well seen as the gauntlets let it run with ionic blink which was a bit much getting a free kill on activation (if you're good with it) then blinking around avoiding shutdown supers and going for nearly 10 minutes straight like that (exaggeration I know) was infuriating, Juggernaut nerf? Thank the lords - I main Titan and think it was way overpowered being able to activate it in the air and even keeping it for that long in the air was infuriating for a lot of people to play against. What i'm on the fence about: Special ammo changes especially with sidearms keeping all ammo (should only keep one magazine). People will actually seek out anyone who does get special ammo. I seen a striker titan who was being shot by my team ran past all of them just to smash me with his fist of havoc because I was beside the special ammo box. <--- This might improve with time but I found it relevant to include here as a reason I'm not liking it so far. What I hate: Fastest pulse rifles being slowed so much makes them comparable to the next more reliable archetype of pulse rifle - why would I use my Grasp/Clever dragon over the vendor Hawksaw now? Scout Rifles got no other buff than in air accuracy? Not much of a surgical change to them, Armor values over ten getting nerfed is just silly why would I use the Eternal Warrior helmet now on my striker? I liked running that high of armor to tank other shoulder charges but it had a trade off of slow recovery to achieve that, Blink HUD removal? This is a no go - why nerf the least used option if you weren't going to take the recovery penalty off? The health penalty needs to be fixed for everything - If you insist on having it on arc blade then have it only on that and not on Blink Strike or any of the OTHER classes/ Red Death, Truth mag nerf? Seriously if this was going to happen either make the mag 2 or add Tripod to the skill tree as an optional perk. What do I think is good but could be better: Auto Rifles, Auto Rifles, Auto Rifles. They're on the right track but one more little nudge up could actually see most of them (not just the melting doctrine) be a viable option - I love my Suros ARI-45, Shadow Price, Paleocontact and especially my Year 1 For the People but they're just not viable enough yet especially with special ammon wipes I have no long range back up to use with it and get dominated by longer range weapons, Scout Rifles could have used another little buff (I know they're in a good place now but they could still be a little better) and they're the opposite case of Auto Rifles where they are long range and special ammo changes mean I have to run a sidearm with rather than a fusion rifle which i'd naturally prefer (it'll take time but I might like scout/sidearm combo yet but I'd still think scouts need a small buff)
