Hotfix 2.5.0.2 Feedback

There are a lot of threads out there already on the new changes, but I wanted to give a central location to point everyone to when they ask me where they can share their thoughts. Now that you have had a few days to play the new changes we want to hear what you experiences have been playing. What do you like? What do you hate? What do you think is good but could be better? What would you change?

  • Like: I like how healing abilities dont just give you full health anymore. It was really hard to counter a blade dancer or hammer when they just just go back to full health with a kill. The nerfing of Grasp and Clever Dragon were needed and i like them a lot. Also the increase of fire rate on high impact pulses was a really nice change. Hate: The special ammo changes were way over the top in my opinion. There are so many ways to die really fast in Destiny and to lose all of your special ammo after 1 death is harsh and kind of unfair to people who use shotguns and snipers. It kind of feels like you took away a whole playstyle in order to have people use sidearms. Wiping the special after every round of Elimination/Trials i think will start having people camp for special and then fight, and that goes for any game mode. The changes to stormtrance were good it just shouldnt have been with Landfall, it should have been with Ionic Blink. What is good, but could be better: I love the introduction of sidearms being very viable in the Crucible and I love using sidearms myself, I just dont think it should come at shotguns and snipers expense. The way to get people to use Primaries and Sidearms is to bring them up to shotguns and snipers. What would I change: Change the rounds of elimination to 2 minutes. Switch sides every round. Put special ammo back to where it was in year 1, i thought it was perfect. Take away aim assist on snipers, the flinch doesnt matter. I still put 2 bursts into a sniper and he will kill me with no scope glare.
