Hotfix 2.5.0.2 Feedback

There are a lot of threads out there already on the new changes, but I wanted to give a central location to point everyone to when they ask me where they can share their thoughts. Now that you have had a few days to play the new changes we want to hear what you experiences have been playing. What do you like? What do you hate? What do you think is good but could be better? What would you change?

  • What do I like? Not running into a shotgun every 5 seconds is nice and I like that, but I think the negative consequences of how it was addressed far outweigh the positive of not seeing so many shotguns. I like that the focus was shifted onto primary weapons, however I do think that the mark was missed on this too. No more clever dragons is a welcome change, but I'm still not understanding how you can call this a balancing patch? I still wonder why low impact hand cannons are even a part of this game... Exotics outside of nlb and mida are outclassed by legendaries.... is that what was intended? Sidearms are the new matadors and due to the "unintentional" mistake you guys intentionally pushed into production, several classes get melted by them when using supers because that's balancing the game. I started typing this and didn't want it to be too negative but really this patch has made the game less fun for me to play, and that's a real bummer because I think this game is and has been phenomenal, but in it's current state, I'm really not a fan. It saddens me because I think so many people see the true potential this game has, and have experienced the joy and pure fun the game is capable of, but when you limit options and basically force people to use certain items over others, it is restrictive, which seems like more of a knee-jerk reaction to thoughtfully balancing a game rather than thinking through ways to make other items on a level playing field. I'm aware of the changes to auto rifles (guess what they're still not good enough to be top level competitive with) and high impact pulse rifles - both are good changes, however I feel auto rifles could've used minimally more to be truly competitive. I won't be playing much of this patch and that's not because I dislike the game, but I don't find this "balance" fun to play. TL;DR - Clever dragons and shotguns were annoying or frustrating to deal with and now we don't have to deal with them. great, but you did so at the expense of limiting so many things, and it's made the game so much less fun that I don't want to play it like I used to.
