Now that the patch is out, alot of the things I mentioned were to going to play out have. Yes primaries are being used alot more but games are alot slower now (I said this would happen). Hand cannons are awesome if u have one with rifled and rangefinder. Due to the damage falloff changes, rangefinder and rifled are a must on hand cannons. Hand cannons do feel alot more crisp but there will still be rng in the game with bloom still a thing. Auto rifles still seem a bit lack luster unless ur using Monti Carlo archetype or suros regime and manipulating it's exotic perk. Pulses feel good and balanced. Overall, primaries are better with consistency but I feel they still feel lack luster. The best way to promote primary play is to make people want to use them, not force them which is basically what is going on right now. I believe that primaries across the board need faster ttks as crucible right now feels alot slower. I do think the skill gap has gotten bigger with primaries being used more, but at the same time, gameplay isnt as fun as like a year 1 primary meta.The special nerfs aren't that bad. Having sidearm ammo all the time doesn't make sense to me when all other special weapons suffer from ammo loss on death. Also, the nerfs to blink, quickdraw, and health regen abilities make no sense at all, no one has ever complained about these. These changes have literally killed blade dancer lol. I'm still in awe that blade dancer was nerfed when it was already one of the worst classes in the game. Anyways, I do think this patch is better than the previous but barely. I will continue to play but will hope for a big improvement by april. The things I believe this game needs to bring alot of players back would be to do these things: bring back weapon rerolling, make primaries even stronger, restore shotgun accruacy nerf, restore special ammo nerf, restore sniper nerfs, fix blade the way I said in my petition post, restore health regen nerfs, restore most recent blink nerf, restore truth nerf (why?). I guarantee you bungie, you do these things, ur forums will be lit with applause instead of the disappointment we are seeing right now.
