I agree with everything you said...except for everything about sunsinger. I run max armor possible on warlock (without the ram), and flame shield is garbage. It actually INCREASES the recharge time of scorch now, and has an activation time that has cost me battles many times. Even if it HAD activated, I doubt it would even have saved me because it's so weak now. Flame shield can ONLY tank two melees if the other person does not have a melee that does extra damage (storm fist, sun strike, energy drain, etc) and the warlock has no previous health loss, and even in this situation the warlock is left on a sliver. And even if all of these conditions are satisfied, if the warlock doesn't melee first then whoever they are fighting will likely get in the second melee before flame shield activates, which renders to obsolete. As for tanking a shotgun shot? LOL. On your 3x damage after scorching someone, that's incorrect. Vikings funeral makes your target take 5% more damage in one stack, which is all you are ever going to get on a person in crucible as otherwise they will die before reaching two stacks unless they are in their super. 5% is so negligible it might as well not even be there. And yes, th stack IS only there for a short time: 2.5 seconds to be exact. That's how long the burn lasts. And to further make scorch useless, sunstrike's basic, unmodified melee burns for longer, and has an option for a better version of brimstone on HIT, and a much better version of flame shield on kill.
