The game is generic as hell now.

[spoiler]The game just feels slow paced and boring now. You win one primary engagement then retreat to regain health, then engage again. The lack of special weapons (except sidearms, which function like a primary weapon anyway) makes the game bland and reduces the amount of variation significantly. By being forced to use a primary, we are essentially stuck with playing at that optimal range. Close quarter combat is now awfully inconsistent due to a lack of shotguns because of broken melees and other inconsistencies that were known, however, occured infrequently. The game was stale before the update, but the gameplay was fast-paced and fun. Sure jugg was annoying and stormcallers were broken, but now we are stuck with a dry, watered down version of the game that simply sucks. ps. Trials will be either NLB sidearm or universal remote sidearm from now on. Thanks bungo - Onyx Biue [/spoiler] You know what i mean. The lack of any special ammo at all as well as all the nerfs to weaponry and subclasses has turned this game into the most generic shooter it has ever been. I wanted to become a powerful legend with space magic, not another generic Marine/solider/mercenary The game has completely lost sight of what it used to be in favor of trying to appease those who just could not handle being killed. Easily the most disappointing regression of a game ive ever seen. I love this game, but this is not the game i fell in love with

    • 100% agree. I would give 50 upvotes if I could. More primary gun play? I'm okay with that. What I am not okay with is having to resort to a special weapon that shoots like a primary. The shits boring af.

            Pve sure. Pvp this is wonderful. Special is plentiful but encourages smart play to stay alive to use it more than once. Shotguns could actually get a buff after this. I've been saying this for a long time special loss of death like halo would be healthy for the game. Control all night has been amazing. Diversity. Rushing and team play. Camping was punished heavily with abilities and supers. Specials stand out now and my 77 wizard has had a real chance to shine without a shot gun on every corner. They feel great again. Many of you won't share my opinion but holy Shit I love what I've been playing today. Non-halo fans I understand your frustration. There are options still. Now that we finally have a power weapon balance we can buff things instead of constantly competing with no risk ohk specials. Shotguns may even get a buff after this.

                    Agree. I am happy with the latest patch but only because I was tired of facing people with the same loadouts. I would much rather everything in the game was returned to its most powerful state and players that grinded the best gear would have a clear advantage. Remember when Vex got nerfed and less than 1 percent of the player base had it. Then the decrease of power began. People without this C counter A so nerf A. But I used A to counter D so now D needs nerfed. It's been endless and you are 100 percent correct in saying it's not the game I fell in love with. The same system has been in place for the grind and PvE difficulty they actually go hand in hand if you think about it.

                    • Game is so sad right now. This will be called the "Camp Meta". Shotguns and snipers are basically gone. Everyone is just team camping. Rushing is basically gone from PVP and it's what made it such a fast paced game. This meta is pure ass. Grasp/clever were the only thing keeping hand cannons in check and now they nerfed clever and somewhat buffed hand cannons. It's HC's everywhere. PVP is so toxic right now with the slow play

                      • They need to do what WarFrame dev are doing to there PvE to keep it alive and fresh. And They need the team who did Overwatch to teach them how to mix ability and gun play for PvP. One thing must be done though. Completely separate PvE from PVP. Hopefully they'll do good job for D2

I want strong exotics, classes, primaries and specials. This patch is a huge step backwards in several ways. They continue to nerf what's powerful and unique (truth, blink, Quickdraw just in this patch alone!) while making the classes LESS UNIQUE.

                              Oh no. I can't use my special weapon the entire game. Oh no what a nightmare. Whatever shall I do! Get over it. You can't abuse special weapons anymore and that is good. It is the only thing that can balance primary and special weapons, yet everyone is too daft to understand it. They're letting the health-regen perks sit for a while. Maybe they'll change them, maybe they won't. I'd say just let it roll over for now and go with it, but you seem to have jumped the gun on that one.

                              • For reference, I got this game week 1 or 2, before the first balance patch essentially. This game has gone nowhere but downhill since House of Wolves. Let me go down the list; -Class items and Ghosts are no longer cosmetic -The sandbox team is trying rotating metas without standardized loadouts and/or monthly balance patches -Having to endure 3+ layers of RNG for almost every piece of loot without the option for retolling -Many gamemodes flat out don't work on these PvP maps, there hasn't been an effort to make better maps or take the bad ones out of the rotation. -The game still runs at 30 FPS on current gen, with no shown effort of upgrading it to 60 (granted I don't know how easy that would be) -No dedicated servers, which is a fail even in 2014-2015 -No punishment for laggers, invincible people and people who are skipping like Qbert shouldn't be allowed in PvP. -Most PvP nerfs have negatively affected PvE -Sandbox team is incompitent, often nerfing things which are either fine as-is or needed buffing (Bladedancer and Blink) -The dev team only listens to streamers -The PvE is just watered down Borderlands -Extreme lack of transparency when a situation calls for it -Cocky and condescending PR people (Luke Smith and Deej) -Catering to the lowest common denominator for most design choices (removal of elemental primaries as a prime example) -Blatant ignorance of mass cries for change (remember the remove SBMM post spam a while back?) -Making other game developers afraid of putting powerful shotguns and snipers in their games (see CoD and Battlefield) -Bungie ditching Microsoft for Activi$ion, with Activi$ion forcing Bungie to milk microtransactions. I can go on and on but this list is just what's pushing me away from this game

                                • This is what happens when you have balance as a goal in a loot grinder. Rather than celebrating class differences and emphasizing their strengths, weaknesses, and designed roles, they keep trying to make them all play the same. Ditto for the weaponry. Which i guess would be okay if it was quarantined to PvP only, but its not. When you nerf Suros Regime or Red Death heal in pvp, it affects pve. When you nerf truth rocket capacity in pvp, it hurts pve. And this patch makes clear, if it wasn't clear before, that they don't even care about weapon performance or class performance in pve. For them, its all about pvp. Theres only one way to send a message that this is unacceptable. Just stop playing.

This way it adds ammo crates as strategic points where people will rush. Ideal places to lay ambushes and cultivate some killing sprees. You just need how to adapt. I honestly don't miss that much the ammo. 4 out 5 times I need my special, I do have ammo. You can though take 30 or 40 million dollars and develop your own game? You need to adapt, sure it's chaos and havoc for 1 or 2 weeks without anything being able to work in a consistent way. Eventually it will be more consistent. I didn't like the hand cannon changes also. I would rather keep hand cannons as they were, but then again, adapt. So expect things to become even more complicated when everyone finds out that TLW is shredding through guardians like if they were made of butter.                                             • I don't like how we're being force fed primaries. I love to use my primary and I'm really good with it, but it shouldn't be the only option. People should be using primaries in their ranges during part of the game, not the entire game. I honestly just want subclass balance of this patch minus the hungering blade bug bs stuff, and HoW weapons. That was so much fun dude, and actually balanced. That's the only time in destiny I felt like I could run shotgun or sniper and I could do good with either without doing weirdc stuff.

                                              "LACK OF SPECIAL AMMO " ha .. 12 minutes per match.. special literally spawns 11 may be 12 time a match .. and upon death you respawn by a crate that's seconds if not already populated .. HAAAA yall aint getting away from this futhamuckn shotgun .. try as much as they want pull the little sidearm ( thinking bullets will suffice for intellect, lil scary boys ) I and my shotgun warrior are about to send them crying to reddit and bnet, yet again, for -blam!-in nerf ... they wont be happy til shotties are permanently removed >> Stay on the Forums, tho

                                            • They're watering the game down even more with every update. It's clear that the sandbox team is mentally unstable. The balance team for titanfall 2 is awesome when 2 weapons were at the top other guns were buffed up to their level instead of the 2 best ones getting nerfed
